Believe it or not, I like liver :o) ... But I want to eat it in a different way instead of frying it up with onion slices. Anyone have any suggestions? Preferably something that's quick to make. Thanks!

Kudos to you for eating Liver!
Why not try warpping in foil and baking with a veggie under
the liver, a little balsamic vinegar and what ever other spices you enjoy.

Smothered Beef Liver

Prep Time:10 Minutes
Cook Time:20 Minutes
Ready In:30 Minutes
Servings: 4

INGREDIENTS:
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 large onion, sliced
1 pound beef liver
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt, or to taste
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper, or to taste
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
1/4 cup water
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

DIRECTIONS:
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Saute onions until soft, but not browned. Remove from pan using a slotted spoon, and set aside. Slice the liver into serving size pieces, and remove any membrane. In a shallow dish, mix together the flour, salt and pepper. Dredge the liver in the flour mixture, and place into the hot skillet. Brown the liver quickly on each side. Place reserved onions on top of liver pieces. Pour the tomato sauce and water over everything in the pan, lifting the liver pieces to let the tomato sauce coat the bottom of the pan.
Sprinkle the oregano over everything, and simmer over low heat for 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Adjust salt and pepper to taste. Be careful not to overcook, or liver will be tough. I serve this with mashed potatoes and green beans.

My dad is an awesome cook and quite creative, but he has always made liver and onions by frying it. You might find some ideas on the Internet though. Or asking here was a good idea too but the Internet is faster.

Try this: dredge the liver in flour, egg, and bread crumbs (no salt!). Fry in a little bit of vegetable oil until golden brown. Sprikle the salt after it has been cooked, fried, broiled, whatever. Just make sure it's calf's liver. Full grown cow liver is too tough, it just doesn't have that buttery texture that calf's liver has. Mmmmmm.... liver.... I think that's what I'll have for lunch tomorrow. Thanks for the idea!! By the way, liver and onions is one of my favorite things in the world to eat.

Shake it in a bag with flour, till it's coated good with the flour.
Fry it in a pan with cooking oil till it's brown. Either make gravy or do what I usually do. Open a jar of heinz or what ever kind of beef
gravy. Pour over the liver and simmer for about 20 mns or so. Very good with mashed potatoes, or just about anything else.
Hope you like!! It's a quick dinner. Hunry Jack instant potatoes
are just as good as doing the long way.

I personally think that liver should only be served to dogs.
But maybe if I try one of these different recipes I might change my mind.
