There've been some fine answers so far, I would encourage you to ask what God would have you do, whether He wants you to go to bed with anyone at this time in your life. Do you think you can have a permanent relationship with either of these people? I'd really encourage you to wait for the moment when the answer to that question is yes before you take any action.
In the meantime, you need to take charge of your thought life to avoid going crazy. Sometime when he's not there, before you start thinking about doing it with him, you need to decide on a way of thinking about him that will allow you to keep your sanity, treat him and yourself with respect, etc. And you need to practice thinking in this new way when he's not around until it's automatic.
Supposedly it takes 3 weeks for a new habit to take hold, so there's your light at the end of the tunnel, so to speak. Now, I realize that since he's your homeboy, you might have to get a bit creative to avoid him until you've got that new thinking in place. But I think you'll find it's worth it...

Wow, that's really weird: my boyfriend's best friend is called Mitch, and they have a real bromance thing going between them. They're practically joined at the hip, and they go on picnics together... I think it's quite cute, in a Turk-and-JD sort of way. They're been totally platonic, though. I think that your boyfriend should just say to Mitch that as flattered as he is, he's not interested in him this way. Surely if Mitch knew that it was going to be a forthright rejection every time, he'd stop doing it? Has your boyfriend been fighting Mitch off as hard as he says? For your sake, I hope so...

first you need to evaluate your relationship with your boyfriend. second you need to decide if the feelings that you have for your homeboy is love or lust. as far as your friends thinking that you two would end up together that is only a decision that you can make. but i wouldn't hurt the relationship that you have with your boyfriend if you don't think that the feelings you have for your homeboy are anything compared to that of your b/f because once you end it with your b/f and come to find out the relationship with your homeboy is not what you thought you might have lost 2 things in this situation, a b/f and a homeboy..good luck

You are on the FREEWAY to "never-nothing-but-hurt-land" of destruction.
Forgive me, don't mean to flame you at all.
You're on fire already and need to cool off or sober up.
But all the markers are here.
Get out of town, take time off, free yourself for this is nothing but a hook in your jaw.
