As MOST of you already know,i am TOTALLY AGAINST any form of amnesty!! This includes Bush's "guest worker" program too!! ANYONE who has EVER sneaked into this country, should be KICKED OUT,with NO chance of ever becoming a citizen!!! ( I do NOT care if they've lived here ILLEGALLY for FIFTY years! DEPORT THEM) If employers "need' more foreign workers (which i HIGHLY DOUBT),then the ONLY "guest worker' program i might go for, is a temporary, NO benefits,NO path to citizenship one. They could come for a period of six months, then RETURN to what ever country they are from! AND, the "guest workers' would have to be MONITORED at all times,so they could NOT just disappear into the woodwork!!!

Amnesty has never worked for America. Amnesty is Wrong, Amnesty is worse that the actual offense of illegally entering America. Amnesty has no basis in a positive aspect for America and will benefit only criminals. American citizenship is NOT granted on the basis of who can hide the longest or run the fastest across the desert. Not to mention, according to the PEW Hispanic research center the majority of illegals do not want amnesty, they do not want to assimilate, they do not care about becoming Americans. I do not wish to live within the law only to watch those who do not get a free ride. People who live within the law have little more than the satisfaction that they are moral upstanding citizens. People who live outside the law (like illegals) are trying to benefit from there crime at the expense of people like me. There have been a great many web sites showing the financial burden illegals have on the economy. They are a drain on the moral and unity of America, two things America so desperately needs to regain.

I am totally against amnesty. We have given amnesty in the past and now we are looking to do it again. Eventually people will learn that if they are here during a specific time they'll just get amnesty. Plus they are called illegal for a reason, they have unlawfully entered this country. Let's see some other things that are illegal, hmm, Murder, rape, robery. They are illegal can I get amnesty if I rob first national bank on a specific date, how about if I commit murder on a specific date. I know if I ever get a DUI, I'll ask my congressman for amnesty. A crime is a crime. No Amnesty. I am not just talking about illegals from one country, I am talking about all of them.

Amnesty is wrong. I am against illegal immigrants getting any benefits and I believe that legal immigrants who followed the law should be able to obtain citizenship or stay in America.

Secure the border.
Screen the illegals.
Deport the undesirables.
And give the rest Amnesty.
No guest worker program.
Make it easier to come legally.
I have nothing to lose or gain from amnesty.I just think this is a rational way to deal with the problem at hand. They really need to secure the border.Enough already.

I am totally against any type of amnesty under any name. Do Americans get amnesty when they break the law? Laws are enacted for a reason and, if someone violates the law, they need to suffer the negative consequences of their actions. There are no exceptions.

I am against amnesty. This is a gift that should not be given to people that broke the law (I don't care where they came from) and people that we have no idea who they are. We have already given amnesty twice, and I feel our borders should be shut down especially the southern one until that government gets there **** together.

I oppose amnesty, and I'm not married to an illegal alien etc. This isn't about a marriage, this is about keeping our country recognizable as 'america' in 50 years. My reason for opposing amnesty is that it represents a Bad Deal for americans that were born, raised, and already live IN america.

Start with overcrowding:
A frequent piece of rhetoric you'll hear on TV is 'growth'. We LIKE to grow, right? Growth is our FRIEND! Or, IS it? Hmmm...
There's different types of growths, that one on your arm that keeps looking more and more like a dead squirrel, and there's public corruption, the growth other elements in your state government that are friendlier with the citizens of other countries than they are with their own citizens.

Do you like the idea of cookie-cutter communities springing up and overtaking your current community, do you like the idea of federal legislation being passed that paves the road for mass immigration? Bush and company would LOVE to pull something like that, they LOVE the idea of loyalist immigrants who'll do just about anything they want em to, including kill on command.

Change is afoot in america, and some of it isn't benign, by all appearances, and unless you like the idea of being on the recieving end of some of that change, consider carefully your support for 'amnesty'...

Against amnesty, because we have already done that in 86, and it didn't do any good, it just encouraged more to come. They should come like other immigrants have come in the past, now their is no screening for testing of diseases, no sponsors, their just flooding in, we cannot take in all of the poor people of Mexico and south America. Their are Thousands waiting to get in that have done it legally and they should be first.

Against, because those of us who were born here will never get automatic amnesty for whatever crimes we may commit. Amnesty for illegals is not fair to those of us who aren't breaking a federal law.
