Fruit and veg take nutrients from the soil. Grown in "virgin" soil, they are also able to pick up large numbers of trace elements, rare earth minerals and so on. Over time though, all of these "other" items get leached up by the plants that have grown there. Farmers tend to use fertilisers that are almost all nitrates or phosphates, which is really all that is NEEDED to make the plants grow, but means that the produce that you eat does not contain them any more.
DO NOT make the mistake of assuming that the "Organic" label means that this problem does not exist. All that means is that the fertilisers are "natural", and that no insecticide or herbicides have been used.
Where am I going with this? I'm not sure really. If you can find fruit and veg from a relatively "new" producer, they would be your best bet, but otherwise, buy nice quality "ordinary" stuff, and a good multi-vit like Sanatogen to make up for what is missing from the food you eat.

Dried fruit. Its have been given a protracted shelf existence so so which you could purchase a bag and it will final you a on an identical time as! you could positioned some on cereal or porridge for breakfast, or snack on it during the day. What approximately tinned tomatoes! they are so less expensive and extremely best for you. if your eating each and every thing from the tin, then you particularly are starting to be to be a lot of goodness from them. there is likewise tinned ratatouille, that's a mix of tomatoes, onion, peppers, aubergines and courgettes. Then there is jacket potatoes - most of the supplements are basically decrease than the floor - besides the undeniable fact that i comprehend technically those are classed as carbohydrate. What approximately kiwi fruit? i presumed they have been truly less expensive now like apples and bananas. And frozen vegetables are less expensive, and a extensive bag can final you for it sluggish, and that they are greater beneficial than sparkling 'cos they have no longer been putting around a save for a while dropping their supplements. desire this permits.

Fruit and veg are best when they are freshest and deteriorate as they get older, so if it's cheap because its old then yes theres a difference.
If you buy from a supermarket, then the chance of it being fresh is practically nil. They have massive chiller warehouses where they store F&V for months (Safeway as was , have amassive one near the motorway at Warrington ) and there is a very good chance that they've nuked it as well to make it last longer and to look better.
Instead buy it at a local market where its generally locally produced and there is competition between stalls.
Some stall holders in Preston will always cut a slice of fruit for you to try if you ask them because they are proud of what they are selling

the cheap ones can be due to the fruits and veg's size, shape, colour don't look so attractive, besides they are the same nutritional quality, they are cheap only for they appearance.
also, they are cheap when compared with the organics fruit and veg's that are healthier, because they were not grow with hormone or chemicals.

Pretty much no. Usually the expensive stuff is that way because it has conformed to the required standards of it's retailer. That means it has to be sorted, examined for blemishes etc which costs money. That cost is passed onto the consumer. It's always cheaper to buy from the producer of the crop as there are no middle men to pay for.

Assuming you're comparing apples to apples and not pears to cabbages, usually the price has a lot to do with the location of the store. If it's right downtown or in an expensive neighbourhood, you pay more for the same thing.

organic is usually more expensive and better for you mainly because they don't use all the chemical stuff to grow them faster and bigger.
