if they give ANY form of amnisty to the illegals, i think everyone else who has commited a crime should stand up and fight for their amnisty.
come on bank robbers, thieves, murderers, rapists, and anyone else who has anything on thier record. stand up and fight, if they give amnisty for sneaking across the border and bringing in diseases, one little bank robbery shouldn't keep you from getting the same job the illegals get? right?

Your logic is correct. Giving amnesty to a group of individuals is discrimination against those who have broken other laws.

Not many people. Roughly 20% of the population, and a fairly small percentages of the businesses. They once did a poll that said roughly 15% of the businesses favored more open immigration...I would assume the numbers of illegal laborers is around that number...although probably a little less.

I believe these businesses are pushing legislation now because they worry about the (current) Supreme Court coarse on asking a illegal immigration law suit to be given one more review by the lower courts to assess if there's direct damage from the intentional hiring of illegal immigrants. From this line of reasoning, it may be possible that the supreme court deems a particular postion in which people may sue their company (under particular guidelines) if there hiring an extreme amount illegals and creating an overall effect on ones wages.

The tricky part is that it could go under Rico statues, which would mean any business being anointed with the particulars, would ultimately pay a huge price for their vices. Essentially, illegal laborer would dissapear based upon fear from the owner. Since 85% of these illegals work in such a way, and the other percentage is usually newbies or in jail, .....it would be less likely you'll see a new illegal for sometime. Just like Japan and the Swiss.

No amnesty, deportation only for those that have only been here for 3 or 4 years that would get rid of a lot.

Being in the USA illegally isn't comparable to being a bank robber or a rapist.
