I think Jana probably answered your question the way you were asking it... For the short term. Many others answered it in a life-wide perspective, long term. Be yourself.

I say, be yourself. But be the best YOU you can be. Use your manners. Don't make enemies intentionally. Accept that some people (even a lot of people) won't like you. Even Jesus had enemies, and He was perfect. Know that being true to yourself will make you more popular in the long run than any made-up face could. Now, Jana may have a place to start, but if you like volleyball, go for it! Your outside must match your inside, or sooner or later someone WILL expose you as a fake.

Now, if you want to know how to be more LIKEABLE, then you need to find out what people around you are interested in and learn about those interests. You don't have to like them, just learn about them. as I said before, use your manners. Hold doors for everyone. Whether you or they are male or femal, carrying something or not. Go out of your way to help someone else. Not just treating someone how you would want to be treated, but treating them better, and with respect.

Try studying the life stories of your heroes. Find someone you look up to and find out more about what they did to get there. Use it as inspiration and a guide, not a roadmap. You are not them, but hearing their stories may encourage you as to the work it took to get there.

Get really flirty around them, so they'll like you.
if a guy asked you to the dance DON'T TURN THEM DOWN they'll be mad at you, and you'll be disliked by solme people. If you really don't want to dance with them, like if it's a geek for instancce, say "Maybe Later..." and then never dance with them.
Don't get nervous around them, they might just like you!
Invite them places! If you don't take them anywhere sooner or later they won't think they are your friend.
dress NICELEY areound them, and don't get soo nervous your makeup smears! If your a prep, you have a choice, only 3 sports, i mean, THINK ABOUT YOUR HAIR HERE! your choices are Soccer, Snowboarding, or Cheerleading. I mean, you can still be interested in sports with your boyfriend. But you can only play those.

If you snowboard wear these things: Your hair in pigtails, and if it's longer, braids. something in, like, a nice fleece sweater. with a long sleeved shirt underneeth. Probably a snowboarding jacket. with a cool brand, like Roxy. Roxy snowboarding pants, and maybe something underneath to keep you warm, and wool socks.

if you are playing soccer: your hair in a pig tail. and then your uniform.

if you are a cheerleader: where what you are supposed too!!!

WHY DO YOU WANNA BE MORE POPULAR i mean what good comes from being popular at my school there all pot heads of some form or fashion and about 87% of them are pregnant. now I'm not saying if you become popular you ll get pregnant or anything I'm just saying most of the time if your not popular to become popular you have to change your whole life.all I'm saying is be care full. and,TRY TO APPRECIATE THE GOOD THINGS ABOUT YOU.

you can't just get popular like that, but it may depends on whether a lot of people like u or not. i think u should be concerned about urself first before pleasing others because thats what u would have to do. enjoy urself first then others may like u it may just be a few but thats how it is. but u can get urself involved into a lot of stuff.
