So I'm in this situation where I have to figure out whether or not to move on or not. There was this guy that I was seeing, and right now we're just playing the friend game, but there is a possibility of us getting into a relationship once he has his "ducks in a line". But I've also met a guy recently who I connect with as well. And it seems like I could have a good relationship with him if I give him the chance. My question is what do you do when you're torn like this? Do I go out with guy #2 and probably miss my chance of dating guy #1 ever again, but there's a chance I could be really happy with 2, or do I wait for guy #1 to get his ducks in order and just be single for awhile?

I don't see where you have anything to lose by dating guy #2. Guy #1 won't commit to you and there are no guarantees that he will ever have all his ducks in a line or that even if he does that things will work out. You have to live you life for the here and now and not for what might be. Dating someone still means you are single until you two decide to be an actual couple in a relationship. So at least take the chance to date him and get to know him more and have a good time. Then later you can deal with if you want a relationship with him and how that affects your relationship with guy #1. I look at it from the point of view of how foolish would you feel if you passed up this chance and others just waiting on guy #1 and then nothing ever happened and he ended up with someone else? You can't live your life based upon a possibility.

Well, what do you think are the chances that guy 1 will get his act together and will keep it together.
If I was in your shoes I would first talk to guy 1 and ask him questions and time-lines when he can fix everything. This should be very objective and at the end of that timeframe I would make the decision.
Guy 2, I will continue to be friends and tell him that I need some time to think about it. If you think he will understand and be okay with being 2nd guy in line then I would tell him too.
Another thing I would think is will guy 1 ever be close to guy 2. If the answer is no or maybe then I will not waste my time.
Hope it helps.

Hey u look kinda cute. why should u, better yet why are u willing to 'play the friends game' with guy #1 when there's other guy's out there who wanna get with u? i'm gonna give u a lil insight into guy's thinkin. don't tell anyone ok? ready??
'gettin his ducks in line' basically is him tellin u that there's a chance that the 2 of u will eventually progress to a relationship down the line. in the meantime he's bangin u and he's bangin someone, maybe multiple someone's while your at home keepin your fingers crossed. the kick is if he's already bangin u why should he then turn around and commit to u. NO he'll string u along as long as he can.
Bottomline, take it from a playa, when a guy meets a chick he really see's as "Wifey" material he can not wait to tell her he wants to be exclusive. know why?? cause he wants to be sure she's not messin with anyone else. that should tell u that 'guy #1' doesn't give a damn what your doin when he's not with u as long as he's bangin u. sorry to put it so harshly but it is what it is.

personally i think u should go with #2, not 2 say #1 is a bad guy but #2 is more interested in u than #1, either way whoever u pick your gonna miss out on 1 of them, i say u should go with da 1 who has his ducks in order, u shouldn't have 2 wait around 4 him, don't sit and wait when there's a guy willing 2 show u happiness. goodluck.

go for the 2nd guy. things can never be the same again with the first guy. Besides life doesn't give anybody a second chance so y would u like to give the first guy another chance.
