I have read that it does, but I want knowledgeable folks to give me more information in this matter, please. I want to tell others some real facts. I believe what the Bible says, but some interpret things to suit them. I really appreciate all intelligent answers.

Genesis 1:14 reads: And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years.

According to the nativity story, astrology was used to identify and locate the birth of Jesus.

I believe it was the dependency on fortune tellers rather than the idea of astrology that was considered wrong.

You could take all the calendars and burn them, destroy all the clocks and watches where nobody knew what day or time or the month and come out to an astrologer and they would be able to tell you the time to the split second, the day, month and year from the stars. The stars do tell a lot about the bible and the things that are to come and that have happened in the past. When Jesus was born, the astrologers knew it was time for it and through some of the prophecies, they knew where to look. So yes, the bible does support astrology or it can be said that astrology supports the bible. As for the stars telling you what you should do as in the daily readings of your zodiac sign, that is to be avoided as it is condemned in the bible and if you really look at it, those that do the writing for the daily papers that carry them don't believe in it as they know they are just writing them to suit thier needs. Nobody can tell you what you need to do in your life today just by where the stars line up as the astrology gurus try to do in the daily horoscope writings try to do. That part you are to leave alone but as for the heavens telling you what the signs are and the seasons and times, that is totally correct.

The Bible does not support astrology! Remember the tower of Babel? It was an astrological observatory that the people devoted so much time to, that they actually began a system of worship of the stars which of course met with disapproval from God who then scattered the people all over the world by confusing the languages so that they could no longer communicate well enough to instruct and recieve instruction on how to finish the tower.

The bible does mention the use of astrology in 2 Kings 23:5, however God explicitly and clearly detest such practices. Deuteronomy 18: 10-12 says: "There should not be found in you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, anyone who employs divination, a practice of magic or anyone who looks for omens or a sorcerer, or one who binds others with a spell or anyone who consults a spirit medium or a professional foreteller of events or anyone who inquires of the dead. For everybody doing these things is something detestable to God, and on account of these detestable things your God is driving them away from before you.

Also, Acts 16:16 tells of the situation when the Apostle Paul expelled a demon of divination. So we see that the bible does not support this practice. Anyone that plays with Ouija boards, palm readers and the like is detestable to God.

Define support. It gives evidence that it works, but it also says that god doesn't like it. The mai used astrology to find baby Jesus, and its mentioned repeatedly in the Law, but as a forbidden practice, one that questions god's authority.

No, it doesn't. Some people assert that it does and offer the Three Wise Men as "proof."

But the Three Wise Men were not astrologers. They were, if anything, astronomers.

Astronomy is a bona fide form of science. Astrology is not bona fide at all.
