If you don't want anything messed up then have your friend let him know you do like him, but then let him take things from there. If he truly likes you he will ask you to go out with him.

there is nothing wrong telling someone that you like him, it's good toi be honest, then you will know if he interested with you or things will work out between you and him. What is wrong is to ask your friends to work it all for you, that is a big minus. Guys like women to be independent, in that way you are showing him that you cant stand on your own and he will not trust you. Be yourself and believe in your self.
Falling in love is not that easy and quick, try to know him more, a good relationship will lead to true and real love.
Good luck girl, be strong tell him the truth. You have nothing to loose.

the other girl has no idea what she is talking about, my parents me, fell in love that night, got married three days later, they were married for 36 years until the day my father passed away. they were very much in love. my dad always said he loved my mom as much when he was older, as he did on the day he met her.
but on to your question. apparently you are young. dont' worry so much while your young about messing things up. but my advice is to be honest and open. i know its scary at first, but it will pay off later. i promise. just tell him how you feel, if he does not feel the same way, your not messin it up, he wont like you if you say things a certain way, or do something different. he either likes you or he doesn't like you. easy as that.

LOVE is a strong word so make sure you know and understand the true meaning of love! But you should be honest and open. Let him know b/c your friend is not the one trying to get with him , you are, so go for it. It is obvious that he likes you to, don't waste time being shy!

I know I HATE it when guys like me and instead of telling me they get their friends to tell me. It just makes me not want anything to do with the guy if he is too much of a pussy to face me himself. Ask yourself what do you have to lose? He likes you so he is not going to turn you down and if he does who cares there is tons of guys out there. Word of advice LEAVE YOUR FRIENDS OUT OF IT!!!!!!!!!

i would tell your friend you want to do it on your own. from experience guys get annoyed when too many girls get involved and he might think you dont have independence. just try it on your own and see what happens.
