Exactly! There is absolutely no proof that god exists! Give me some sort of scientific proof that this all powerful being exists, and maybe I'll believe it. Closed minded people trying to force christianity down my throat annoy me too.

Is it closed-minded to believe 2+2=4 and not 5 or 83? The proof? - of the pudding's in the eating - so why not suck it and see?
Christianity may look narrow, but the fantastic paradox is that Jesus and Holy Spirit open us up to a vast array of experience of God - if we are brave enough to unwrap the gift. Belief alone may not be enough to convince us of the reality of God. Think about it - what loving parents would say "Just believe in me." They want to get down to the kids' level and play with them and hang out with them and do lots of things with and for them. This has been my experience, and hundreds I've met.

I believe in God because of a feeling I have had since I was a small child. I have a sense of comfort choosing to believe in God that I don't find anywhere else. I don't think people are necessarily close minded when they say that you should try to firm up a single belief. I think they are just saying it is more effective to believe something one hundred percent than it is to give that belief partial credit. Maybe consider looking a bit more into all of your beliefs and see if they can't be a big collaboration. I found that believing in God and believing in religion can be separate. You say you are tired of close minded people saying "Believe in one thing", I say I am tired of being told to choose and agree with a religion .
Wouldn't you say it is arrogant of someone to say that out of everyone, Their religion figured it out. I think that it is safest to listen to your heart.... That is where your are most likely to find God anyway!
If anyone wants to talk more email me and I will reply asap.

People are scared of the consequences. What if there really is a God...will we be thrown into hell when we die because we did not believe in the Lord?
On the other hand, some people claim to have had spiritual experiences with God, they only, have ground in what they say.

Many people have had experiences with God or have been touched in one way or another. People just want you to believe because they believe that if you don't you will not go into heaven so really they are just trying to help you out.

Belief like anything else is a choice. No one can make your choices for you. The beauty of having a free will is that we can choose to believe in anything we want to. As far as proof goes, no one has to prove anything to you, me or anyone else. All one has to do is make a choice based on the information one has.

people have the ability to belive in other things or gods because and only because He gave us the choice. He didn't make us beleive in Him, but He could have.

I believe in God, but I don't think you have to. I don't enforce my Christian beliefs on anyone else out of respect. However your question sounds very closed minded.

You are absolutely right to question faith, but then all the answers are in, you will find that there is only one true God. The father is our savior, and redeemer!
Good luck in your quest,

it's better for god that you don't believe in god but beleive in the natural world that you see. This way you can beleive in truth. cause your eyes tell you so.
