Are you kidding me?
Who would find their socks? Wash their socks? Make the food? Buy the food (chips and dip are NOT food groups)?
Who would stay up till 1 o'clock finishing the science fair project? Who would drive back and forth from home to the school to pick up clarinets and library books and permission forms?
WHO I ask WHO?

After the loss of Two of my children (one at 7 1/2 weeks old, the second at 19 years old) and the loss of my husband less than a year after I lost my second child. I Survived.
Never Once Thought Of Ending My Pain and Heartache Either.
So YES families do go on and survive the loss of a member.

I have never thought about it before, I lost a son myself so I know that although you feel like dieing you don't you go on with LIFE knowing there is a piece missing and it will be that way until your own forever is over..So I know my family would survive without me! I am sure they would be lost and sad until some of the grief wears off as I would be devastated if I lost one of them. But everyday the sun comes up and everyday the sun goes down theses are the things we count on.. .life carries on even if we don't!

I can remember when I was young i went a trip with my cousins to Galle ( South) alone without my mom or dad. I prefered to stay 2 days, but the very next day my parents came!!!!!!!! My dad said that my mother cried a lot without me. I am so sur ethey are loving me alot. I love them cz they are the ones who took care of me from my baby ages!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They would. Life goes on and people rise to the occasion.
Growing up, I never would have believed my family would have survived without my mother, but when she died we managed to muddle through. I think my own family now would manage somehow, too.

Do you think they will just die or something? Maybe they are "needy" when it comes to you, but in reality.....they'd survive. They can probably do more than they care for you to know - LOL
Like me - I mowed the yard once (I hate yard work/heat and all) and I made stripes in the lawn. I never had to do it again :)
We are now in an apartment anyway.

i really don't know.because i do everything at home, cooking, washing, shopping, teaching, playing,(with my grand kid)etc etc, but when i go out of station with my friends for few days the house will run smoothly without any problem.i feel that i am needed as long as i am there.moral of this story is nobody is indispensable.i may be missed for few days when i am gone.but they will get used to my absence.that is life.life & time will not stop for anybody.

The family I grew up in- yeah, break my mom's heart though...
The family I am part of now (me, hubby, dogs)- probably not- hubby would be a complete basket case, $$ would be a wreck, dogs wouldn't know what to do- just that Daddy is sad...

i live miles away from my family and only see them for a week, once a year. if we are talking bout finance, they will be able to survive without me, but emotionally i doubt they could...
even though we are far apart, we still hold on to each other dearly
