opens with:America Online (or) Adobe Illustrator, Art Director, Canon Crayola, or Clip Art program
.spl -FutureSplash Animation
opens with:Macromedia Flash Player
.dfx -Drawing Exchange Format
opens with:
Mac: IMSI TurboCAD; PowerCADD PowerDWG translator, MacLink Plus
Windows: Autodesk AutoCAD or DWG converter such as DWG2Image Converter

Since the game is a M$ game My bet is that they are CAB files or compressed files (like a zip file) that can only be opened with the install program that is on the game disk. You should probably look for the same file name with a .exe on the end
