I think its funny as heck... I think you are showing them a little fun and thats always good when a parent can share jokes with their kids. I'm sure they are more apt to telling you things because they trust you more than if you were a stuck up prude.

hey whats wrong with eating corn flakes with a fork ? ??
that's how we did it at our house ? ? ?
so please tell me what is the joke about that ? ?
we would put the milk back into the milk carton so we could use it again and again...
we learned to recycle a lot of things in our house...
we washed out plastic baggies and used then all week long if not longer to bring our food to school. and to bring the left overs we could take from school home so our parents could eat too.

If you feel your degrading yourself then why do you do it? You wouldn't ask this question if you thought it was ok?

where i live the slang 'yuh mudda ****' is a curse and my neighbour tells her son that everyday, what u think of that one!
