When they talk to you, start barking and sniffing them, then walk away, or scamper. I once had an uncle who had a religious group continually knocking on his door. He had enough, he answered the door naked and said he was a nudist and if they wanted to talk to him, they had to come in and leave there clothes at the door. They never returned but left him lots of pamplets. Good luck

If you're a Christian (As I am) I always start off by asking. Do you believe Jesus is the only son of God & the only way to heaven?
Then I ask if they believe the the Bible is the all inclusive word of God and we need no other resopurce?
They usually say no to at least 1 of those questions, most of the time to both. I then tell them until they belive that with their entire mind, body & soul I wil pray for them BUT we have nothing to talk about.
If they're confronting you, they are NOT ready to be converted unelss they start asking question. They are prepared to argue the Bible & unless you've done your homework don't go there.

Ask about:
1) Why they wouldn't allow African-Americans to hold positions of
power until the '70's.
2) Why they believe Jesus and Satan were brothers.
3) To describe the three levels of Heaven they believe in, why
men can become gods and women can become eternal
baby-making servants to their husbands.
4) To see their Mormon underwear.
5) About the secret Temple wedding ceremonies, proxy
baptisms for the dead, and secret names they'll share with
their spouses in eternity.
6) The fact that none of the produce or species mentioned in the
Book of Mormon as being found in the Americas during
Christ's supposed visit here has ever been confirmed by
archaeologists.
7) The Lizard Letter.
Any Mormon who realizes you know this much about their religion (possibly more than most of them actually know about it) will turn tail and run in a heartbeat. Google Mormon beliefs or Mormon secrets for some fun reading. There are also some good sites out there about people trying to get out of the LDS Church who were hounded by members.

They are trained to react to lack of interest, since that is usually out of a lack of familiarity. That's why they'll talk to you more if you act uninterested. The one thing no religious group is looking for is a person looking for favors. So act interested, then ask for a loan right away or some cash, and they'll definitely leave. They have, no doubt, known and brought in (unknowingly) people who simply came to take advantage of the congregation. So, if you act like one of those types, they'll steer clear. Most people would. Very quick.

This is a simple and easy solution for you. Just keep walking act like you didnt hear or see them they will get the picture now if they run after and takle you. I think at that point its only pollite to punch them right in the mouth smile and tell them to turn the other cheek so you can do it again if they dont leave you the hell alone.

My mom always got rid of them by knowing exactly which part of the Bible to come back at them with. Unfortunately, I'm not as versed in the Bible as she was. Read up on Revelations and use that to head them off.

just tell them you are not interested... mormon missionaries are really good at "dusting off thier sandals & moving on" at least they are here in the states...thier first question is usually "what do you believe" if you tell them you are an occultist who plans on summoning the flying spaghetti monster... they will leave you alone! But you could tell them anything, just be firm that you are not interested in joining the church of LDS...

Don' make eye contact and keep walking, if they persist make a scene and start yelling that you do not know them and they are harassing you. The more of a scene you make the more attention is drawn to you and maybe they will find their next victim.

give em a big hug for an awkwardly long time while whispering in their ear, "Are you free later, I wanna show you something really holy." this will definately freak em out and they'll have a funny /odd story to tell friends later on in life.

Tell them you never wanted to follow a religion that requires the male to wear a diaper at temple.
They actually do this.
