that might be false news.
if it is true news then not only did the artist offend Allah's Prohphet but so did the people who set the fire. Allah's Prohphet does not believe in violence.
i am a christian (baptist methodist)
and i am educated on various different religions as well.

That mail is fake. Like the many SMS's send around during the cartoon-issue with the goal to discredit non-Muslims in general and Danes in particular.
As mentioned above, there were no ONE cartoonist, but 12. All are alive, and have recently appeared in public, made statements etc.
I'm sure a few radical Muslims /wish/ it was true, and will make you believe, that you will burn in (some sort of) Hell, if you insult Prophet Muhammed. Which you of cause should not do, as that would hurt the people who care for that religion.

Is it an insult to use Muhammad in a drawing as some use Jesus, Buddah, Shiva, etc.? I don't think so - I think it's the easiest way to make a point and get people's attention. As for the guy dying I don't believe it unless the fire was set by someone which I don't doubt. There are fanatics on all sides willing to die for their beliefs. Doesn't make murder right. As far as I know EVERY religion marks that as a major sin, but it hasn't stopped people yet.

If it was real, it would have the artist's name, date of his death, and more information. This just sounds like someone spreading fear to me.
BTW, most people don't burn alive in a fire. They die of smoke inhalation. Or they inhale burning hot gasses and that kills them.
