Because they are conditioned to think women with long hair are more sexually available and desirable by the media. Think of fairy tales - are the princesses usually short or long haired? Think of comercials for hair care products, automobiles, condoms, etcetera. More often than if they feature a woman, she's long haired. It's subliminal programming.

Really there's a variety of reasons. I like a woman with long hair because of my stereotypical image of a woman - Long hair on women, short hair on men. Then again, I also enjoy running my fingers through a womans long hair. Also, of course i find it sexy... The image that comes to my mind is a woman standing upright on her knees, wearing some revealing clothing, with just one side of her hair draped down covering one side of her chest. (OK, so I have a vivid imagination - shoot me!) - It can also be fun, and playful, if she enjoys having her hair played with.

IMO short hair shows laziness becuase the women don't want to take the time to do their hair.

because we do. why do women like guys with big muscles. because you do. it's just the natural way of things.
albeit, there are some men who dont like long hair, like there are some women who dont like muscular men..... but you get my drift.

this is and age old attraction. long clean hair all shiney somehow it seems attract guys. but on the other hand i like guys with long hair.

It's also very sensual and feels good when you run your fingers through it.
