My personal opinion is that in order to get to Heaven one must believe that Jesus was the Son of God who came to earth, was crucified upon the cross, buried, rose to claim victory over death on the third day and ascended into Heaven. It is through this faith that I am given grace and pardoned of my sins so that I may live eternally with my Savior and God.

In my personal opinion, I believe someone must be Christian in their heart and actions. They must love the Lord and love their "neighbor". I don't think you can just say "I'm Christian" and then lie, cheat, and steal and get into Heaven. I also believe that if someone hasn't had the chance to hear the word of the Lord and they are a genuinely good person that they will go to Heaven as well. Saying they would go to Hell simply because they didn't have the chance to hear the word of the Lord limits God's mercy. But that's just my opinion, the true criteria for entrance into Heaven are up to God.

Grace alone, which is embodied through faith and seeks compliance through works in imitation of Christ.
Most would say "accepting Christ Jesus in your heart as your Lord and Savior."
Accepting in your heart is different than knowing about Him. It requires belief, love, and faith. It also requires the trust to open your life entirely to Him. This is a gradual process - if you open up all at once in one emotional burst you may close up again when the warm fuzzies following conversion leave you. A relationship with Christ is similar to a human relationship in that there are periods of in love and out of love, although real love remains.
Many remember the Savior part but forget the Lord part. Christ as Savior means that we are dead through our sin, but Christ paid the price for us that we might have eternal life. Trusting in Christ's sacrifice and resurrection links us to the hope of the Gospel.
His Lordship means that you follow His commands: feed the hungry, shelter the homeless, heal the sick, minister to the suffering. There's not any specific acts you need to do, but you must comply with the grace given to you. "faith without works is dead". The works alone don't save you, the faith alone doesn't save you - it is all Grace (Ac 15:11, Ep 2:5 and 2:8, 2 Tm 1:9).

As Christians we're not supposed to have a personal opinion on that subject or any other. We're supposed to seek God's will and align ourselves with Him.
We believe Jesus revealed the way of salvation, or "how to get to heaven", and it was recorded in the Bible by His disciples. That message is summarized in the following: REPENT AND BELIEVE.
In other words, turn from your old ways and believe in Christ, whom God send to save sinners. Rely on Him to take you to heaven as you would rely on a plane to fly you across the air. Like in the case of the airplane, you prove your "faith" in it by getting on and letting it do the work for you. You don't try to fly it yourself and you don't stand in the distance saying I believe it will take me to my destination. No, you actually get on it and it does the rest.
Likewise you must trust that Jesus can save you, and not simply say you believe He existed or He was a good man. You have to stop trying to work your way to heaven by being "good" and just trust that He will take you there.
I hope this makes sense to you.

You have to be saved and ask God to forgive you of your sins. Know that Jesus died for your sins. Live a Christian life. Have faith. Being a good person does not get you there. You have to accept Jesus as your personal savior and by his grace you shall be saved.

The only way to get to heaven is if you believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins, & rose again to defeat death, & that He is the Son ofGod,; admit you are a sinner, confess your sins to God, ask Him to forgive you, & ask Jesus to come into your heart, & be the God of your life.

Just to get to heaven, all you have to do is is believe that Jesus is the Son and God and that He died for your sins.

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
The word "again" (anothen) in Greek means "from above", so born from above.
John 3:4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. John 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
We all are born of the flesh and water, the womb. You must be born from above or the Spirit. God's Word is His Spirit. I pray that helps you. Sow to your spirit by studying His Word which is God's Spirit.
KEEP MY WORDS
John 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
NOTICE; WE will come, make OUR abode with him.
