i crack my knuckles (fingers and toes), neck, back, ankles, anything i can, any way i can.
is it bad for you?
i am addicted to it
i have tried to stop. ive looked it up online and people said their knuckles got bigger from it and mine have, not much, but enough for me to notice it.
i can't stop. i have asked people i know to yell at me when i do it and to slap my hands-anything to get me to stop, but i cant. i always go back to it. most of the time i dont even notice i am doing it.
can anyone tell me if it is bad or not?
does anybody have any advice on how to stop?
i would really appreciate the help.

It is very bad for you, especially for your neck and back. It wouldn't take much for you to "crack" your spine the wrong way and end up paralyzed. That's why professionals go to school for that. go to a Chiropractor and have it done professionally.

I've been cracking my knuckles since I was a kid and I have noticed they got a little bigger too. I don't have advice on how to stop it except to remember your manicure won't look so good with your knuckles all big. That stops me when I realize I am doing it. The problem is when you do it out of habit and do not realize it.

My uncle is a chiropractor and says that cracking your own joints will NOT make them bigger or give you arthritis later in life. When we crack them ourselves, we are pushing air out of joints. When a chiropractor "cracks" us he is realigning the joints.

Cracking your knuckles can aggitate the joints and in the long run cause arthritis and crooked and painful joints.

Get a new hobby.
I've never cracked ANYTHING in my life, or bite my nails.
You're wearing away your joints.
