The answer will be found with the Chinese. Some would say they are on a course towards war with the "West" right now. Conspiracy theorist on the wacko right even suggest China is behind al queda so they can learn more about our tactics, weaknesses, etc. I don't buy that one.
China has serious problems providing for its masses; food, water, energy, and oil are serious problems for the country and they may begin to the view the US as an ugly opponent for those things. "IF" they can turn the US into a 3rd world nation that doesn't compete for resources we'll probably be fine. If we remain a first world nation that bids higher on oil supplies and charges more for our vast agricultural resources then it could happen.

Yeah, China would crush the US infantry/navy/air force. What the US doesn't know is that China has developed better technologies and better military equipments. With the US locked in Iraq and Afghanistan, it would be highly unlikely the US would go to war with China, because the first one killed is Wal-Mart. If the US did, there would be hundreds of Normandy sized invasions,but without much casualties. China can draft up to 100 million in wartime. The US, at most can only have under 50 million. it would be disastrous if the US lost too. Communism in the West.

I think US and China relationship may go sour in the next coming decades. We can't really predict the future, anything could happen. May be a COLD WAR one day.
I think there should be a North American Union to challenge china economlically.

China has a larger army and compared to the United States it would make the US armed forces look like a Boy Scout troop.

nothing would be more foolish for the Chinese and the Americans than going against each other. certainly both wont fight a direct war there could be cold war as its today. the repercussion for both would be terrible which the Americans know better than the Chinese

If people like Bush keep getting voted into office. Which will continue to allow for the corporitization of the world, and allow for oil companies, and other corporations to continue their oppression from good changes for mankind.
