Oh, my, gaaaa-aahd! Yer right! Yer right!
There's no such thing as homoseckshewal at all, at all. It's all a biig plot to thell shows about hairdrethers and interior decoratorth.

WTF?

This is not a question son. Homosexuality exists in all mammals (and is the norm among colonial insects, BTW) and is a matter of nature. Queers are born, not made.
This is not to say that you can't bully, threaten, beat, brainwash or otherwise convince a natural-born gay that he OUGHT to pretend to be hetero, but that leads to a lot of really ugly psychological problems.
Check out the keyword "homophobia" and you will get some idea of where this can lead.
Oh, yeah, and homosexuality is counter-survival (if everyone were gay, there'd be no "next generation"), but it can be tolerated in any successful species as a population growth inhibitor.
Chill.

First, under scientific classification, humans ARE in fact animals. My assumption at this point is that you're asking about "lower" animals. The answer is a resounding YES!

Homosexuality can be observed in everything from dogs and cats to dolphins, squid, seagulls, horses, clown fish, and LOADS of other animals. The list goes on. Nearly EVERY SINGLE SPECIES ON THE PLANET has groupings of homosexual behaviour. This is not merely isolated to human beings.

Ergo, (as your question presumes), homosexuality is natural and not choice-based as many would have you believe.

If you believe that any of the animals I've mentioned have enough brainpower to DECIDE to become homosexual, then what is the unifying factor between humans and lower animals?

Those who would have you believe that homosexuality is about decision-making do not open their eyes to the world around them. Nor can they accept that any "god", especially THEIR god, would create such diversity, even in lower animals. Rather than simply accepting that their "god" made things the way it did "just because". ...And still they question it, mock it, isolate it, ridicule it, -all in the name of a god who they believe to be perfect and who does not make mistakes. They can never make the leap of faith from "god is perfect and made things the way they are" to "if it's made by god then it must be his divine intention to have things be this way" to "I should accept god's work for the way he intended it and I should not question it". It's like a logic bomb... They don't get it, and you can almost hear their neurons misfiring and heads exploding in the distance.

More often that not their opinions are rooted in what they blindly "believe" rather than what they see or observe using the talents and intelligence they've been given. Even if there is a god, these people do not use their "god-given" gifts and abilities enough to think outside the religious box.

Homosexuality is perfectly normal throughout the animal kingdom, regardless of species.

yes there are such things as homosexual animals. homosexuality has existed for a LONG time. it is only now that we are starting to become more aware of it. so i guess you could say it is nature and not nuture.

There are examples of homosexuality among animals. In lab experiments it has occurred when males are deprived of females. This suggests "nurture, " similar to the situational homosexuality described by Kinsey. In some cases in the wild, there does not appear to be any particular reason for the behavior, therefore, arguably it is "nature."

Animals are totally different. There are times when animals will pair up with the same sex, but it's because of a lack of females. They will go through all of the motions like there was a female, but the cycle of life does not continue. It's totally different with humans. There are enough males and females to go around. There is no need for homosexuality.

We are not animals. As long as you equate us with animals, you will have problems. Animals fling and eat their dung. Does that make it natural? It's a poor premise for an argument. In fact, the mere question says that homosexuality is animal behavior. I do not think you want to go there, do you?

My friends and I were discussing this yesterday. Homosexuality used to be in the DSM (a book psychologists use to diagnose mental illness) as a mental/behavioral disorder. It was in the DSM because homosexuality was considered maladaptive since the individual cannot procreate. I'm not saying its right or wrong, I'm just saying it presents an interesting point and we came to the point you're at with your question.

Animals do things (like dogs) that appear to be homosexual sometimes.

It is a product of sin on the Earth.

The Bible teaches that because Adam sinned...now sin has been IMPOSED on to creation. Plants and animals now have been changed because of sin.

Creation will be liberated when Jesus returns.

Yeah there is I was looking at this a few days ago. I think it could help explaining if it's nature or nurture. I think people are born gay. Me and my brother were talking about it, he says maybe it's to do with the hormones, like male has more of the female hormone making him find other males attractive and same for female etc.

Some dolphins and baboons have displayed homosexual behavior. But, seeing how we can't ask them how they feel about the fellow male dolphin or baboon they're mating with, we can't know if they are truly homosexual (i.e., feel attracted to the same sex as a whole) or if they're simply confused or happen to be particularly attracted to that specific dolphin or baboon. We can't know what motivates them, so we can't draw conclusions.
