I think this girl might be a bit too young to watch episodes related to betrayal, lust, etc. Watching something more suited for child audiences is a better idea.
In general, I do not endorse the idea of letting the children watch too much TV, there are alternatives, like reading books or playing with family members.

There is no Should or shouldnt. No one SHOULD be watching tv at all. However there is nothing wrong with your child watching soap operas if you are ok with it. They never show anything too racey on soap operas. I started watching when I was 12 or 13 and my mom was ok with it.

Well, it depends. It can be good, that she'll know problems in life and stuff. But, if the soap opera has some inappropiate stuff in it, then she shouldn't be watching it.

Good question. Well I think it would depend on where you stand on watching them and how you feel about them. My husband does not like the fact that I watch them. I hid it for years cause I thought that because I went to church I wasn't suppose to watch them. For me, I don't mind watching them. I know the difference between right and wrong. And they will not influence me to anything I don't want to do other wise. My daughter and I love watching them. She is 13 though. I think it is solely up to you though. Some times they actually have very good story lines.

Personally, I don't think anyone should be watching them. However, the only person who can make such a choice is the girl's parent or guardian. None of the rest of us can decide for another's child.

I feel as long as a child has supervision with what they are watching - most tv shows are ok. There has to be the distinction between reality and just entertainment.

a 7 year old should not be watching TV, period. she should be outside playing or making art or anything but rotting her brain.

No. She can learn nothing useable or good by doing so. She should be out riding her bike, playing with friends or reading.

No, please God no! Girls are melodramatic enough as it is. She doesn't need to be taking lessons on how to be absurdly over the to dramatic at age 7.
