How about the zoo? A museum, an out-of-town bike trail, a walk in your favourite park's flower garden or sculpture garden, glow-bowling, to a salsa dancing class (or other dance class for which a partner is required, to the gym, to the pool, to the beach, to an outdoor cafe, the ballet, the opera, live theatre, a concert, a bbq with friends, a wine-tasting, a scotch-tasting, the political rally of your choice, a hike, flying a kite in the park, playing tennis, to the waterslides, horseback riding, Sunday brunch at your favourite hotel, a book club, a journal club, a book launch, or just simply go hang for coupla hours in the bookstore, on a shopping trip, grocery shop together, rollerblading, wall-climbing, boating, waterskiing, for a picnic, to a poetry reading...

Depends on what you have around you entertainment wise, and what your common interests are. If you enjoy jazz, larger cities usually have a jazz club where you can go see some group play some good music. If you live near mountains, go hiking or skiing. If you have a theme park and you both enjoy coasters, go there. There are tons of options.

The race track, its fun, its exciting and you have plenty of time to talk and get to know each other between races. I prefer horses, but I guess dog tracks would do. It doesn't take a lot of money either.

putt putt golf....bowling, batting cages...go carts...walk through downtown, visiting shops that you've never seen before....mmmmm there are so many things..depends on what you guys kinda like to do...
be goofy go hit golf balls and laugh at each other.....
go play paintball......catch a local teams baseball game...
doesn't matter what you do..as long as having fun together.

why not invite her over to your house (if you are single and living alone)? you can display your cooking skills, and show the sensitive new age side of you. i bet that would increase your image tenfold!
