She's been sleeping on her back with paws and hind legs stretched out. Why??

No real reason. You'd be amazed at the odd positions that cats will sit/sleep in. Sometimes I wonder how they can possibly be comfortable.

Well with the weather being as hot as it has been, I'd say that's pretty normal. Your cat is trying to cool down as she sleeps. Cats sweat out of their paw pads, so by having her paws up in the air instead of on the warm carpet, her body temperature should cool down and make her feel a little more comfortable.

That's perfectly okay, plenty of cats sleep like this. Cats tend to move around and shift a lot when they sleep, so sometimes they'll start out like this and then end up curled into a ball. She's just doing what feels most comfortable to her at the time. Mine does that, too, not all the time, but sometimes.

Cats sleep in different positions, whatever they feel at the time and whatever is comfortable for them.

So don't worry about your cat if she's sleeping on her back, my cat do that sometimes too.

I just recently found out that my cat has been using the pillow like the way we do. He'll put his head on the pillow and sleep sideway, so cute~ ^o^

My cat would sleep like that, too. I've heard that when a cat exposes their stomach to you it is a sign of trust. If they let you touch it then it is the ultimate sign of trust.

my grandmother has about 50 cats, trust me it is completely normal, some cats sleep in very odd positions, ive seen them with have of their body hanging off of furniture looking like they were in danger of falling off, but don't worry about it, i find that they usually have better personalities when they have strang habits like that

Because she's relaxed and at ease. My two cats sleep like that often.

It's their way of stretching, they also have dreams and like to chase things in their sleep. My roommate says, when ours does that, she is praying.
