You do not put your age so it is a difficult one to answer. I will assume you are in your 20's if so I suggest you stop talking on the phone for awhile and move on. I am not saying forget them but you will be surprised how much the seperation will do one of two things you will either find the other person was not the one and the stress free life you now lead is better or you will both find that you make a better "us" then you realized and that you can work through anything as long as you do it together. My daughter had the same problem, she took my suggestion and stepped away for a few months after dating the same guy for 3 years she came to the conclusion that she would rather have moments of stress with him than a life time without him. Good luck....

I know the feeling and it seems that there is still some issues with the reason why you 2 broke up. If you 2 are still having strange tensions when you talk to each other, then i advise you not to get back together. Just go your way.

Date a little bit and if you really have feelings for each other you will come back to each other. If you never want to be with them again and you want to move on then think of the thing they do that you despise the most and magnify it in your mind. You should get over them then. If you can't think of anything that bothers you about them then maybe you should try to get back together.

Spend time apart, reconnect with your buddies, go out and do something alone and meet new people. Anything to keep from agonizing over it in your head. My man and I broke up for six months and ended up getting back together, it was the best thing that ever happened to our relationship.

Don't dwell on the fact that you guys are broken up. If there is a chance of you two getting back together, let it happen naturally- don't try to force it. It'll make things even more awkward. In the mean time go out and enjoy yourself. Doesn't mean you have to go out and hook up.

I just got of a relationship and I am going thru the same thing because we still talk to one another and I just plain out told him that we shouldn't talk everyday cause it makes it harder to get over you. Also keeping yourself busy helps out alot. Slowly but surely those feeling will fade away.

learn the principles of Buddhism, realise that life is suffering and that desire is the cause of all suffering, learn the path, clear your mind, find nirvana, master dharma, harness the chi..... Then go out and find yourself an upgrade, and realize that your ex's attractiveness was nothing more than an illusion.

I put my lunch down to answer this one. Date someone new, date someone new, date someone new! It doesn't matter who it is, it will help. You need to feel desirable after a break up and anyone can give that to you. After you feel a little better then be more selective of who you date!
