Work out. Do shoulder strengthening excercises, in particular.
Alternate upper/lower body, and do weight training 6 days/week.

Also do lots of running (at least 2 times/day) after the weights. How much running depends on what kind of shape you're already in. If you're starting from scratch, then run at least 2 miles/outing. Also do some windsprints.

You should be working out for a minimum of 3 hrs/day.

Eat right. No soda, candy, donuts, etc. Lots of vegatables, lean meats, and water. Sports drinks are ok too.

If you can work out w/ a friend that will help. People push each other.

You can make a noticible difference in two weeks! but you'll have to push it.

Make sure you rest the day before camp. Don't go in sore or injured!

Take a lot of practice outfits, and at least two pairs of shoes. You will feel better if you can change clothes after each session, and put on a dry pair of shoes. Also, think about wearing two pairs of socks to try to prevent blisters. Talcum powder will feel good. Take along first aid supplies, including tape so that you can work on minor problems. They'll probably tell you that you can bring a swim suit, but at a camp like this, all you will want to do is eat and rest when you have a little free time. While you are there, remember to drink plenty of water. Try to get in the zone and everything will be fine.

YES, you need to wear knee pads. Even if you don't dive around and stuff, you need to wear them just in case. When you are first walking in, you can wear them around your ankles, above your shoes, if you get to practice early. Or if your team does conditioning beforehand, don't pull up your knee pads right away. You might want to go ahead and buy black knee pads, because I had white, and I switched to black after the first day of tryouts when I was the only one wearing white. Wear regular running shoes. Just wear a t-shirt, like a school shirt or a sports or camp shirt. Don't wear high socks. They make you hot, and nobody else will be wearing them. Wear spandex. If you want to, wear running shorts. You should probably wear spandex the first day, and see if the older girls are wearing spandex or not. That's what happened to me. I went in spandex the first day, and a lot of the seniors and juniors were wearing running shorts. So since then, I have been wearing running shorts. Don't bring your own ball, they will have plenty. I hope I helped, and Good Luck in volleyball(: relax and have fun!

Start running!
I'd say about 4 miles a day that's what I do and I go to really tough volleyball camps and my coach for club is really really tough too.
For about 30minutes each practice we run up and down stairs!

I would say stretch allot. do some drills. like pass set and hit
serve try to block the ball at the positions outside middle back
and talk while you play
for instance when you get the ball say got it, here, mine
or if the setter has the ball and you are in a position to get the ball over call out your position,
and never let the ball drop/fall on the ground by any means necessary.

good luck........

If you are in High School, your high school probably does what mine does, you should go to strength and conditioning camp just to increase your agility and speed.
