There are too many kids on this site. ( a lot of teens asking explicit questions) How do I express my concern to Yahoo? Lets make a 18+ Yahoo answers so adults aren't answering these type questions. What about those SICK , MENTALLY CHALLENGED ON-LINE PREDATORS who prey on these kids. I dont think anyone should be censored but I do think kids/teens should be on a separate site. Do you agree?

yeah, I totally agree..these kids are asking the craziest questions. "does sex hurt"? " should i do this"? " how does this feel"? and all types of stuff..I don't think we should be the ones to answer that for them, their parents should..but I'm not sure of how we go about this..

No, I don't agree. There are too many factors to consider to do something as drastic as this. And like others have said, it's incredibly easy for perverts or kids to lie about their age. It would also be unfair to those of us who might be interested in asking serious questions or participating in/reading serious discussions (I'm 16. Obviously I'm not as mature as an adult but I hate the fact that my generation as a whole is seen as a bunch of horny, shallow idiots). Of course it would be almost impossible to let some kids in and keep others out so I don't think there should be a separation at all.

true, there does need to be a different section for adults. but even if there was, theres nothing from stopping a curious teenager from making a yahoo email accout with an adult age...i know many people who have, they got away with it. and i'm only 12....and there ARE alot of sick people online but thats just a fact of haveing the internet. theres always going to be something bad about it. teens are asking explicit question because they can. most of them have probably looked at porn being underage. they got away with that too. so i think the adults haven't done their job from keep kids from doing stuff when they're underage...it just anticipates them...

I report inappropriate questions. I find that they are removed most of the time. I also report inappropriate answers. I have noticed that Yahoo suspends accounts of the worse offenders.

I do agree there should be a separate area for kids/teens, but that won't prevent the sickos from following.

I think the best thing to do is report those that don't follow the guidelines.

No. This is a question and answer site, not a hook-up for adults. If kids have questions, shouldn't they be allowed to ask those people who might actually know the answers... ie: ADULTS? If you want to "hang" with adults only, there are plenty of places to do so without denying the little kiddies access to information.

Even better, if parents were better parents, this wouldn't be an issue.

I think that Yahoo Answers needs to evolve. I wouldn't mind a tough application process for the privelege of using it. I agree that some subject matter is out of place here because not all children are here asking about sex, relationships and boy/girl drama. Kids need to know where they can go to get quality answers to legitimate and meaningful questions. The Yamsters are guilty of ignoring a problem that has not only infested their service, it has exploded and is out of control. I gave up reporting and making suggestions because it doesn't seem to be a concern to them.

i do not imagine so. Seeing as you would possibly want to be a minimum of 13 to be on maximum message forums, i do not see why Yahoo might want to make a separate Yahoo solutions. Plus, human beings might want to always lie about their age.

Just because a couple of immature punks ask "explicit question" doesn't mean we should segregate the two age groups. But I get your point and I agree!

Good idea but I think the predators will lie about their age to be on the younger site and vice verse.

What about the serious questions that the kids have? Then there would be no knowledgable adults to answer them. We'd have all these confused little young'uns running around!
