First, you didn't mention how much you currently weigh so I'm not saying that you need to lose 20 lbs based on your height, weight and age but what I will offer is some advice on maintenance of proper health and wellbeing which will effect your weight and balance it.
You do not want to look at this as a diet but rather a lifestyle change. You should be eating several small meals throughout your day to keep your body functioning properly, especially your metabolism. If you skip meals then your body will go into starvation mode and hoard anything you put into your mouth for fear of not knowing when you will be feeding it again. So the best thing to do is eat your 3 meals per day, breakfast, lunch, dinner and then in between those meals eat a snack (fresh fruit, vegetables, yogurt, nuts, something along those lines).
Since I'm not sure what your current diet consists of, it's also hard to say what to eliminate or reduce. So I will tell you what you might want to avoid to help your body balance. Too much fat, too much salt, too much sugar, too much dairy, too many extra calories, too many carbs (breads, pastas, crackers, chips).
Make sure you drink lots of good clean water all day long. At least 32 oz and more when you are able. Do not drink when you eat, this messes with the digestion process of your foods.
Next would be to get movement and fresh air. Smile, laugh alot and most importantly love yourself.

Its unhealthy to lose that much weight in that amount of time. But you could lose half of that and keep on working once school starts. Try running, roller blading, or any other activity. Then try etaing healthy. Stay away from fast food, cookies, chips, ice cream, bascially everything that taste really really good is not good for your body. Eat fruits and vegetables and drink plenty of water. Make sure you try to eat 5 small meals a day. Whatever you do dont starve yourself that will actually make you lose weight slower. Because your metabolism will slow down and anything that you do eat will get stored away. Your body will go into starvation mode and everything you eat will be stored because your body wont use it because it wont know when its going to get more food again. Not only that but you will feel tired all of the time and look really sick. So just get active and eat healthy and you could lost a lot of weight. Try this website www.self.com

Eat healthy! Don't diet. Remember the rule of one cup every 2- 3 hours. Eat 4 ozs of Chicken breasts, Salmon, Tuna and White meats twice a day. Stay away from pastas, anything with flour. Avoid sugars, starches and fats. Try to plan your meals the day before. Eat tons of veggies, about 1/2 a cup to a cup 4 - 6 times a day. Especially anything green and red. Try eating yogurt and cottage cheese for a snack. Also try melons and citrus. My whole family started a healthy way of eating this summer. We eat every 2 - 3 hours and only one cup of food at a time. We are constantly full and feel as if we can't possibly eat all that we have before us. Stay on a schedule and walk twice a day. We all have lost 10 lbs in the last 3 weeks. This really does work. I read about it in a magazine years ago.

You shouldn't lose more than about 1-3 lbs a week, otherwise you put your health in jeopardy and/or you put off pounds that will come back. Perhaps after the 1st week of diet & exercise you'll drop a considerable amount, but after that it tends to drop more steadily.
It was an accident, but when I first went vegetarian, I lost about 15 pounds and kept it off. In all actuality, I was cutting back on the fatty meats I loved so dearly (I wasn't a turkey or chicken fan) and I incorporated more veggies and fruits into my diet. Cut back (or avoid if you have a strong enough will) on junk food (maybe you can treat yourself to something small at the end of the day). You don't have to cut out meat, but choose lean ones. Drink lots of water--maybe try drinking only water rather than sodas. Avoid the fatty dairy products--opt for skim milk, fat free cheeses, and yogurts. Protein is what Atkins is all about, but don't make carbs your enemy. Give them a place because you still need them.
Think about what you eat. Don't pig out, but don't kill yourself for having an occasional candy bar. This is basically a diet makeover. You don't really do this temporarily or else your weight loss will be temporary.
Finally, the difference or lack thereof between caloric output and input is what causes you to lose, gain, or maintain weight (as in numbers, not necessarily the best predictor of your health). Caloric input is from food. Making it less than output (from exercise!) results in weight loss. Find something fun, like devoting yourself time every evening to dance around in your room for 30-45 minutes. Walk your dog or your neighbor's dog if you don't have one. Join YMCA or your local rec center. Our city offers low cost fitness classes. Maybe you'll have some there. Go to the library or WalMart and get some of those cheap goofy workout videos. They keep you active, and you have to be active to see results!
Don't get all anorexic because it'll just mess you up in the end and feed the beast called self-consciousness
Best of luck to you!!!

No point of losing weight. You are so young and losing weight can sometime hurt you. What you can do is eat a balance diet with 50% carbs and 50% protein. You should drink only water. It might lose weight but you are still eating healthy.
