I was watching a talk show the other day, and the people on it were people born one sex, but felt that they were the opposite. they then recieved sex changes and the whole nine. i feel that in some ways that is blasphemy because if you were born a female and you feel like you are a male trapped in a females body, isnt that saying God made a mistake?.... i know some people do fel that way and i am not knocking, i just think i see a little blashpemy, and many may not realize or even are for that matter, as long as they feel good about themselves.

Why would it be? Along your same lines of reasoning, we should not build houses, because isn't building houses kind of like saying that God made the world wrong for us? Should we refuse to help the poor because if we do, it would be like saying that God made a mistake making them poor? Should we stop trying to better ourselves because doing so would imply that God didn't make us the way we ought to be?

Part of me says it's just the person's way of coping with their homosexuality. I'm not supposed to be a guy because I like guys. And things like that. I don't know if you could call it blasphemy, but it's definitely a sin. The ultimate goal is to make yourself a different sex in order to have sex with the same sex and make it okay.

Obviously you don't know what blasphemy means.

It means taking the name of God in vain, nothing else.

Being a transexual is not blasphemiy, whatever else it may be or however you happen to feel about it

In fact the only one being blasphemous here is YOU--you are invoking God's name to condemn something of which you personally disapprove. It is not for you to judge whether or not they are insulting God.

I think the point they were making is that God made them a female and that the "world" recognized them as male. The mistake (as the male/female) belongs to the world not God. I would think you would have to positive about that sort of thing before you did what they did.

I don't, but I also don't believe in the Christian form of God. I am not gay nor do I believe I am a man trapped in a woman's body, but I view it as their perogative, just like tattoos or anything else of a personal matter. I feel it is their life and they are not doing anything to hurt me so I let them be. It is their beliefs, convictions, friends and family that they will have to deal with, not mine. Everyone is so vastly different that what may be blasphemous to one is not to another.

well, i dated a guy who felt like he was female.

for all intensive purposes he was female.
i mean seriously. he changed his clothes about 8 times a day, did my makeup when i had to look spiffy for work, and was constantly whining that i didn't talk to him enough.

sometimes this happens. he doesn't hate himself, he hates his body for being the wrong gender. he's perfectly happy being his girly self. especially when he pranced around in his pretty skirts and showed off what he bought that day.

it happens. i don't think its blasphemy.
think about it this way, god didn't make a mistake, he thought that by making him miserable in his own skin he was teaching him a lesson or something. who knows

God doesn't make mistakes. People do. God made you the gender you are for a reason, and I feel it is wrong to change that because you feel like he made a mistake.

What's even worse is I saw a man with a soon to be wife that is having a sex change to become a woman, so when all is said and done he will be a lesbian...THAT is blasphemy!

Good question. Technically, blasphemy is telling lies about God. Lying about oneself is not a blasphemy- only an abomination. Hope this helps.

Nah, don't think so. It could be said that doing everythign is blasphemy, and then it could be said that not doing anything is blasphemy. So kind of we just have to forget about it and try to get on.
