Yep...especially the waste products who protest outside the military hospitals caring for our wounded soldiers and those who protest at military funerals

There was a really great episode of South Park this last year. The parents were divided on having a pro war country band and a peace loving hippie band or some such, and Cartman was having a dream about being witht he Founding Fathers and debating going to war with England.

Cartman watched the Founding Fathers figure out that we go to war so other countries won't think we're wimps but we let people protest even though we have no intention of listening to them because it keeps the protesters occupied and makes other countries mad at our government and not our citizens.

Let the people protest. There is no chance of us redeploying troops back home until we pretty much give up on Iraq in our own good time. i.e. when we decide there're no progress and we can't afford a 20 year major theater war or when we can finally find an excuse to bomb syria or when we have to redeploy to Iran or North Korea

Wow, some of these answer and really dumb...

The majority of people protesting, are NOT protesting the military, they aer protesting the leadership and commander-in-chief.

Yes, there are some who will say anything negative just to get a reaction, but the fact is that an overwhelming number of people support the troops, but NOT the politicans who've put them in this position.

If our soliders have broken laws, commited atrocities, torture, etc., then they need to be held accountable, but I for one will not rush to judgement until the facts are known.

And the morons who are demonstrating at the funerals of servicemen are nothing more than an extremist religious group run by Fred Phelps..., not liberals, not Democrats. But I guess you thought these people only exist in Muslim countries...

Why would you protest against the military, they made this country the free country it is today. Without the military we would be like those idiots we are fighting with right now. Anybody protesting should be standing on the front line. God Bless our Military and Thank you for all you have done. I display my flag proudly! Why is there some many stupid ungrateful people???

As a combat Vet I see two sides of this. In a weird way, they are saying thank you, because they are exercising their right to free speech, which is a gift our forces are giving them. What a better way to say thank you then to use a gift. Of course what these people do not understand is that with this gift comes a responsibility of knowing when to use it. Using it outside a Military funeral, or VA hospital is irresponsible, and disgraceful.
The other Side is that I personally would like to see the rest of us use that gift to have Pro Military rallies, and wave our flags and tell them thank you in that manner. The fourth of July would be an excellent time to start this. Or if you see what appears to be a military funeral pass you, pull over, and turn on your lights, if you are standing on the side walk lower head and say a quick prayer, or salute the soldier that just gave his life so we can enjoy the freedoms we take for granted. This is free speech too.

Yes.
100%
America has the best fight force in the world.
They go where they are told.
If people feel compelled to protest anyone, it should be the White House and Congress - where our troops get their orders.

Take those protests to the voting booth, write letters to the president and congressmen/women, organize grass-roots efforts to elect people that advocate a strong military TO BE USED FOR DEFENDING OUR COUNTRY.

I've said it before, I'll say it again, you can say with no argument from me that everyone has a right to their opinion on the war and the freedom to speak their mind about whether the governments policies are correct, and at the same time say you support the troops. However I truly believe a very large number of those who are so opposed to the president and the government don't really understand the situation and have been unduly influenced by a vicious campaign attempting to destroy everything this administration is attempting to accomplish. to do so they will manufacture any lie and use any tactic possible. They first undermine your confidence in the government, then in the mission, then finally in the very troops that are fighting this war. It goes from people crying about the waste of these fine young American lives, to scorning them for things they have supposedly done. This conspiracy of lies is not generated by any friend of freedom and the America as we know it. They are leftist extremists....american communists* if you will, with a totally different vision of America than what the majority of Americans have...and many are falling for it. I will not be one of them. I support my president, and most of all I support our troops ALL THE WAY. God bless America.

* joined by a variety of radical fringe groups from both
extremes with their own agendas INCLUDING MUSLIM
TERRORISTS.

I've got your back. Whether or not you agree with the war, the military is only doing their job. Those who protest outside hospitals and at funerals have no respect for anyone, especially themselves.

I think they are wonderful. They kill Marines one after another, just like Jane Fonda in North Viet Nam and Bill Clinton in England.

Public protests are seen by the enemy and can only bolster his activity. If people really want to support the troops, shut up and quit killing them. With friends like Jane Fonda, Bill Clinton, and the Dixie Chicks, our troops don't need enemies.

I know I could have done with a lot less help while in Viet Nam.

I haven't seen anybody who protests the military? Where are you getting that from? What people are disgusted about are the leaders who are responsible for the death of thousands. The soldiers are just following orders.
