i flew from boston to england and one way took 7 hours and the other way took 8 hours. but that was 3 years ago... i dont know if the planes go faster nowadays

About 6 hours according to how long it took me to fly from England to Orlando it took me 6 hours to be above new york.

I`m guessing that depends on how you are flying.
If you are in a extremely fast military fighter it won`t take long
I guess if you are in an old propeller plane it will take ages.
Concord used to travel faster than the speed of sound so that wouldn`t take very long either.
But I expect the average for a normal passenger plane is about 7 hours.

Yup, on Concorde it used to take 2 hours. Now most comercial jets fly at abut 550-MPH and so it takes about 6-hours.
