I can barely understand a good majority of them. Is this a reflection on our nations schools?

Yes and no. A lot of people who communicate electronically, be it by email, texts etc. will use abbreviations and shortcuts to express themselves. Also in the digital era, grammar is not as important as getting your point across. Many people who are online are in a hurry and want answers now. We dont really want to waste time messing about with sentence construction.

On the other hand, as this is a global site, there are a lot of people here whose first language is not English. So you need to allow for this too.

Most people on here are either young and not properly educated, or they just randomly fly through these questions/answers without worrying about proper spelling, grammar or punctuation. They say as we get older most people can make out words as long as the beginning and ending of the word is correct...strange I know..but it's true, there is some kind of "letter" on the website...www.myspace.com that is written all messed up, yet when you read it, it makes perfect sense cause your brain still processes as if it was written correctly !! (But I agree with you, some of these are difficult to completely understand )
I would hope it's not our schools...more like laziness...

Well actually there is no excuse to misspell words when we have spell check. People must not care to use it or not taking the time. Is everyone too busy? I mean we must have time because here we are reading and answer all these questions. HA :)

It's a generation/age gap thing. Computer literacy does not include proper spelling or grammar. It's just whatever looks cool.

Yeah... some of it could be the schools but a lot is undoubtedly parents who don't choose to see that their kids learn.

I agree with you, nothing bugs me more then when a kid puts "dat" instead of "that". Don't write how you talk kids. It's either a poor reflection on our schools or it shows how much influence society has on them. They are probably watching too much Mtv...Puff Diddy or what the h*ll ever isn't a good role model, so don't emulate him kiddies.

probably because some of the people here dont use english as their primary language (this includes me). and also it might be because of the difference in grammar in most of the languages like the japanese language etc.

I think it's because they are fat...you know, fat people can't spell and they ruin the image of this country. Kind of like morons who ask questions like "can you have your period and still be pregnant". I hate those people!

Much as I applaud the sentiment, you really ought to have spelt 'grammar' correctly!
