Genesis 1:26
26 Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, [b] and over all the creatures that move along the ground."
What does this verse from the Bible say to you? How do you interpert it?

Kind of Hard to write all this. I will try to break it down in its simplest form. God is triune in His person. In his image man was made spirit, soul, body, triune.
God is Spirit.
The Holy Spirit dwells in the earth.
Jesus became a man. He was to do so from the beginning.
Spirit is the true man.
Soul is what makes you, you. Your soul is the catalyst between your spirit and your body.
Your body is how you deal with the world of reality around you.
When you are born again a new Spirit dwell within you Gods Spirit. Adam was made to walk in his Spirit nature when He fell he had to learn to walk in his flesh.
We are born in this flesh and must learn to walk by the new Spirit that dwell within us. Our Spirit man is made new but we must renew our mind (soul) in Christ daily. working out our salvation with fear and trembling... not of our spirit but our mind(soul) by being transformed to the image of Christ. there is a lot here but if you want to know more let me know email me......

Let us make men (flesh) in the image of the God and the angels.
Men has control over all animals, with common sense of course.
You have to understand the three world ages. The Earth is millions of years old. We were in the spirit roaming around on the Earth when the dinosaurs were about. We are now in the second world age. The final and third world age will be after the judgment of God.
Check out the book of Job 1:6-7.
Job 40:15 and on. It talks about a dinosaur, and, how it lived.
People at the time of Job did not know how dinosaurs lived.
I hope this helps...

God created man in his image. Not in his physical image, but in his overall welness and care for people. He wanted man to love and respect others just as he does. Man rules the earth over all other creatures.

To me.. what stands out most is this....
"Let us make man in our image....,"
The fact that there is an OUR in there, makes me believe that God is actually part of a committee of sorts. Now, he MAY be the CEO (I doubt it.. I mean, he has a pretty lousy track record if he is responsible for the project called "humankind"). More likely, he is head of HR or something like that. Maybe an I.T. manager.
Odds are, man was initially created with a radical new design.. ergonomic cup holders, aerodynamic wings, maybe scale armour and the like... but eventually, it went before the committe, and the new hot shot VP of marketing said... "Let's make them look like US". Went to vote, (5 for, 3 against.) and here we are.
I kinda wish I had the cup holders.

We are superior to all other creatures on this planet because we have the ability to create our destiny and realize our purpose over a period of time. "In our likeness" means humans have the power of mind that is stronger than anything else in the Universe ("mind over matter"). So, by mastering our own mind, we align ourselves with the Universal Mind ("God"). That's my understanding.

God, all the God head, Father Son (yea, not yet born, but in John1:1, it says in the begining was word, and the word was with God, and the word was God), and the HOly Spirit created us, in their image.
Man created in his image, shall rule the earth.
In his image, the ability to think, to feel, to love and fellowship.

That G-d made us in his image (spiritually not physically) and gave us dominion over the earth.
The us has nothing to do with the trinity. Do a little research on Christian sites. You will find that even they agree it is not the Trinity but his heavenly court.

The way I interpret it is like this. God decided to put man on earth to protect what he already created.

God alone did not make man and that man resembles him.It also suggests that God consented from others, and that he made man superior to other creations.
