is it that just because thier bibles dont mention life on other planets or other such issues they assume that the answer is NO instead of using thier brain and making thier own conclusions?

I think its veyr arrogant to assume that we are the only life out there. also it whould be a disturbing thought as earth needs a good overhaul thanks to religious conquest and brainwashing.

There is no evidence whatsoever that life exists on other planets. Until there is evidence, scientists will continue to look for answers but will not agree that life, at least as we know it, exists on any other planet.

I hope this helps.

The Bible has nothing to do with LIFE on other planets. Why would you assume that this was the reason people don't believe that?
How do you know that there is or is not life out there? No-one knows for sure. And using your brain to come to your own conclusion is just that- your own conclusion- It doesn't make what you think right or wrong. We will probably never know for sure if there is life anywhere else. It is just speculation until someone can visit another planet and tell us about it. I don't really see that happening anytime soon though. Look how hard it is just to get to the moon.
Don't just assume that the reason people don't always agree is because of the Bible. That is silly.

It is because of such narrow-mindedness that I began to move away from religion. For one, the religious text was written long before we developed technology that has enabled us to be guardedly convinced that planets exist around other stars. We still haven't been able to completely rule out the possibility of life on other planets and moons in the Solar System. And two, religion has an odd sense of science. There was a time when the church ruled over scientific findings and many contemporary believers still feel that science, politics, and religion belong under the same umbrella of authority. I for one believe that life is possible elsewhere in our vast universe, But I require proof of that too.

well I dont know where you get the bible part from becuase it really has nothing tot do with the question. There are many things not in the bible that we believe and not beleive. I know there is other life on other planets becuase forat this universe is way to big for us to be alone but then there have been many sightings as well. You seem to be realy ant Christian though. I would rewrite your question becuase I am Christian but I beleive there is life on other planets. Some people dont beleive becuase they dont have concrete proof, thats what it takes for some people...

there must be, it may not look the same as us in fact probably wont our planet is a strange one being just the right distance and all that for water to behave here the way it does of course thats not to say life may not evolve along a different line... probably will maybe based on silicon instead of carbon... but whatever I agree most of the bible thumpers dont' they are stupid to think it is just this tiny planet in the whole of the universe which has life... note I didn't say intelligent life as a lot of humanity isn't intelligent

i agree with you...there are billions and billions of stars, just like our own sun. there has to be planets orbiting these stars. just because the planets in our solar system dont have life besides earth, doesnt mean that none do. we havent even begun to explore the universe, we have no idea whats out there, so its not reasonable for someone to say that there is no life on other planets.

It has been suggested that Unidentified Flying Objects come from the great hole at the top of the Earth rather than admit that all life is curious; even life from other planets.

Well, if there were intellegent life, it would make us look stupid. ...Jk.

but seriously, you can't fathom God putting those stars and space out there so we could behold his Glory. every time we use our brain we destroy something. Jk again.

what's the purpose of the flowers and plants and such beauty that surrounds us. Lost of them don't have any other purpose but for us to look at. What's the purpose in that?

Maybe people are too afraid to believe... well, I think that humans have to evolve before other life tries to contact us. We have much to learn... we have to grow. There have been encounters, but only very privileged people have had this experience. So, like I said before, humans have yet to change before communicating with other life that (obviously) exists. (How could there not be other life with the universe being so big?)

When you show me solid proof that there is life out there, then I'll believe you.

By the way, just so no one decides to label me incorrectly. I'll label myself. Agnostic.
