Last night I thougt I would try listerine whitening pre-brush Rinse and it made my mouth burn and this morning when I went to brush my teeth there is red spots all in my mouth and my gums are swollen and my mouth hurts could it be that I'm allergic to the listerine and if so any suggestions on what I could do to make the swelling and the red spots go away?

Sounds much like an allergic reation .. and yes you can be allergic to it .. in fact humans can be allergic to almost anything.

I used the Listerine Pre-Brush Rinse and I've always had white teeth so it was had to see the difference. I stopped using it because of that white film. That I could do without! Try the whitening strips. Good Luck!

You could be allergic to one of the ingrediants in the rinse. To make it go away try rinsing your mouth some more, to ensure all product is gone, and then if doesn't clear up in a few hours, you may have to call your doctor to get a medicine to clear it up
