Should the U.S consider Intercepting the N. Korean missile test?

Regardless of the desirability of doing so, there are serious questions about whether the US is actually capable of successfully intercepting the missile. Trying but failing to intercept the missile would diminish America's military prestige and may tempt the North Koreans into further adventures. On the other hand, doing nothing leaves Japan, Taiwan, Australia, and so on to think about facing such a threat on their own. Last time, it inspired Japan to join us in trying to develop missile defense. We have more to lose than to gain by trying -- and more to gain than to lose by not trying.

That would be so cool. Like. Yeah what else you got? But I bet we wouldn't try. Know why? We would definately do that in a war, but not on a power demonstration because if we missed we would look like punks and there's no guarantee no matter how good we are that we wouldn't miss. Durring a war we know there would be lots of missles and our average would show we were successfull more often than not, but if it's on missle we either risk hitting it and immediately being expected to hit every other missle fired ever and people debating if we were lucky or missing it and just looking incompotent, and that's not how we want to look when we are trying to intimidate NK and Iran into backing down.

Yup .... the last time they tested a missile they lobbed it right over Japan just to be the intimidating little ****'s they are. Who knows what type of "show" they are planning this time.
