That is a myth. However it appears to be true because Grey hair is coarser than the rest of your hair so when it grows a little it goes all crazy and becomes uncooperative.

Its purely because of the contrast between grey hair (which isnt actually grey its white (colourless)) and the coloured oarts of the hair.

My mum moans that her roots come through within a week, but its such a contrast between her regrowth and dark ends that make it more noticable

All hair grows at the same rate if it't in the same area.
They probably just appear longer as they are lighter and more noticable.

Grey hounds are way quicker than hares! Unless it's on the track, then the hound will never catch the hare!

I think its because they tend to be stiffer and so they stick out more it looks like they are longer. I know the ones in my goatee are like wires and I'm always having to snip them off.
