Before man believed in god, they lived for many hundreds of years. Why does god always have to put the human down? He drowns us, he kills our babies, and now we can't live as long? Just last week God pulled me over just for diving while human! What's next?

Whats scary is I'm an agnostic and I know the answer to this.

The Bible, which as you know is not the word of God but a story, explains about the flood of Noah. The first 10 generations had these long life spans, Noah lived to be 600 he was the 10th. After the flood the creation scientists believe that life spans started getting shorter. This is also their explanation why the Earth can be 6000 years old and has fossills that appear to be millions of years old, because during the flood there was rapid decay. They also believe no creature died before the sin of Adam. It is because we learn the creation science and compare it to our own understanding of chemistry, anthropology, astronomy, physics, biology, and history, that we reject this creation science view, but put it in its proper context, that it is a mythology.

So to answer the question, your life span is shorter according to the judeo christian mythology because of the flood during the days of Noah.

C'mon, you can't be serious! I can tell from your post that either you are not a Christian or you are and you know zilch about God's Word. Our shortened life spans are because of sin and all sin entered this world through one man...Adam. God doesn't drown us. If you will read His Word it will tell you the world was destroyed because of all the sin and wickedness. He doesn't kill our babies either. We are the ones who allow abortion, the murder of millions of innocent unborn children and God didn't pull you over for driving while human. If you did get pulled over it was because you broke the law. As for what is next...look at how you're living your life, that should be a clue. Consider this; if you continue to do what you have always done, you will always have what you have always had. If you want to change your life, change your words. Jesus said "You will have what you say." MARK 11:23,24; and it works both ways, either for good or bad.

uhhh....no! Years ago there wasn't as many harmful chemicals being released into the atmosphere, like the factories and vehicles and airplanes put out. PLUS....look at all the dieseses there are now compared to back then. Virus that kill and so forth...although there is Rx's.... there's more side effects about taking them just to REDUCE the symtoms of certain problem. So IMO, we've done it to ourselves, not GOD.

Oh, and BTW, if GOD pulled you over the chances are that you would be dead. NO body SEES God until their judgment day.

Fix not your eyes on what is seen, but what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, and what is unseen is forever. 2 Cor 4:18

What possible evidence do you have for such a claim!?

All scientific research shows that until recently humans were old by their forties and RARELY lived into their sixties. Let us not also forget that the reason so many die of stroke, heart disease, cancer etc, is because the age old killers of the young are no longer as effective.

I am neither Christian, Jew, nor Muslim, but it seems to me that you seek to provoke them. sad use of an interesting forum. You show how small minded people can be. good work.

What exactly is your issue with religion/God? You have posted numerous questions, some that I assume are meant to be humorous, many of which just reek of smugness and mockery, that suggest you believe all religious people are just stupid mindless sheep who don't know what you know and are not as smart as you are. Most of your questions are aimed at people who believe in God and who place that belief above all else, who choose to try and do good, rather than convince others that God is just some figment of their feeble imaginations who doesn't even exist. If you want to believe that, that's fine. If you choose to deny the existence of God, that is your choice, but there's no need to mock others who believe the opposite. Why would you even care how some believe? Why does it bother you so much for others to believe in Jesus Christ? How does it hurt you personally if they pattern their lives after His teachings?

Why is it considered acceptable behavior to poke fun at religion, why is it okay to toss a few jabs at those who do believe in a Higher Power who created this world and everything good in it, but if someone defends that faith and says you are mistaken or wrong if you deny God, all of a sudden we start hearing words like "tolerance". We must be tolerant of others beliefs, unless of course they believe in God. Then they're just stupid brainless morons who have put their faith in a fairy tale. Obviously you have some problems with religion. I accept that. Maybe you have a good reason. Maybe not. Obviously from your comments, you feel as though you have it all figured out, but the rest of us are just idiots. You have a right to your own opinion, but just remember, so do the rest of us.

As I said, some of your comments seem to be intended humorously. It has been said that humor is anger turned inside out. This suggests, to me at least, that you still harbor some unresolved anger toward religion for some reason. Perhaps I am wrong. If however, I am right, maybe you need to figure out why you are so angry and resolve it.

Let me sum it all up this way; whatever you choose to believe is your own business. Just don't imply or suggest that anyone who believes in an Almighty God is stupid. Tolerance is a two-way street.

On the contrary I'm going to live for ever.

Death of the flesh is not death of the entity that dwelt there.

But there is the second death.

This second death or lake of fire is like fat drippings that fall into the fire. Just a poof of smoke into non-existence.

Psa.37:20 But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the LORD shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away.

In my mind what’s worse yet is no memory of you, no tears will be shed for you like you never existed.

Rev.21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

IS THAT WHAT YOU WANT?

God has shortened the life span of man because they have turned so evil!

Coming up with creations such as Nuclear Bombs etc. What's up next.

Imagine Osama living up to 1000 years old!

Do you think you're better than God or that you deserve this and that? By saying what you said in your Q., you're trying to judge God. What all mankind does deserve is eternal damnation! But it is of His mercies that He gives us the opportunity to have life eternal even when our bodies decay away (our souls will go on forever in either 1 of 2 places - Heaven or Hell). Maybe God's trying to reach out to you: He doesn't want you to go to hell. So don't try to reason through God's thoughts or "means of operation.' You'll never be able to do that.

If you look at the bible, all the people in Genesis live to be like 100 - 199 years old. Then they gradually lived shorter and shorter lives. Today we're lucky if we make it to our 70's. And since people have been living short lives for as long as their has been Judeo-Christianity, then I think you're right, god is trying to kill us.

Actually, if you wanted an honest answer I'll give you one. Religion or faith in a higher power has been shown to lessen incidents of depression, and to help you live longer.

I'm not advocating religion, as personally I am not religious, but rather simply stating facts.
