Many people are addicted to having plastic surgery. Once they change one thing they want to change other things about themselves.

Ever since I was younger I had considered getting plastic surgery on my nose (nose job). IF I were to ever get plastic surgery, that is honestly the only work I would ever have done because I am very happy with my appearance and the only thing I don't really like is my nose. I have considered it, but I'll probably never do it. I think people look terrible after having a lot of work done and I'm afraid I might regret it or it might be terribly painful.

No, I wouldn't; I'm very content with the way I look. Plus, most of the people that had plastic surgery, in my opinion, looked more attractive before; with their little imperfections. Now they look so plastic... Not to mention the fact that the whole thing gives the impression that you haven't accepted yourself and that you value external beauty more than anything else. While, in truth, it's the inside that counts; nobody is going to reject you if your nose is slightly bigger than the average if you have a charming personality (sense of humour, goodness of heart e.t.c). Overall, I think that the desperate need of those people to become beautiful no matter what cost (e.g the pain, the money-think how many sick or poor people could be relieved with that money) is what makes them ugly.

I can see how you would get addicted to it, but I don't think I would. I do think I would have plastic surgery to change some things about myself. If I had the money, that is - since it's considered cosmetic, my insurance won't cover it.

one thing, they are expensive, beyond the reach of a common man, so only actors and models may afford to go for it. secondly, unless there is a major flaw, like a cleft-palateor something, why go for a cosmetic surgery, risking the after effects? i saw a movie fadora in which something goes wrong, and the otherwise beautiful actress goes completely ghastly. i think if god gives you normal looks, once in a while you may feel, why he didn't make you as good looking as others? but then, if you like yourself as you are, and move confidently in the society, i am sure, you will never ever feel like changing your looks, even if offered to be done free!
