Come on people if any of the older guys/girls like myself think they should raise the age difference to 16 possibly 18? BECAUSE TEENS today are way too immature to have sex at 14 that's sick and I have a story before the whole age consent thing when they moved it to 14 before...PLEASE tell me some of you have common sense and agrees with me? Please let me know....

I'd like to move the age to 21!!!! but I know THAT isn't going to happen.
Nobody is ready at 14.... and 16 is still pushing it... for most gals. (Boys too)
However... realistically? Doesn't matter if it's 14 or 41... if they can get alone, and they are so inclined... it's going to happen.

The legal age HERE is only 14 if you're 16 or below. If you're 16 or 17, then illegal to have sex with a 14 or 15 year old. If you're 18 or older, it's illegal to have sex with someone younger than 18. There was actually someone who got arrested for having sex with a 15 year old because he was 16, and they persecuted him, but the girl said it was consentual. Its kinda crazy....I don't think kids should be having sex as young as they do....

What state do you live in? Most states the age of consent is anywhere from 16 to 18.

i think that is better...my friend Katie had sex at 14 and, its just too immature, no responsibilty at all at that age...some end up pregnant so young. Its sick. My friend said she was 5 months along and then lost the baby...ok...but i think that it should be 16 and not 14. at 16...you are more mature and can take more responsibilty than a 14 year old can. So i agee with you.

I, for one, totally agree with you. 14 is way too young for someone to be having sex b/c they are still immature. I believe that it should be raised to the age of 18, that is when they are considered to be an adult.

14? wooa, thats young. i dont actually know what the age is here in victoria aussie, but the ages all over are ridiculously young. it doesnt really make a difference though, they still do it coz thats what they see on tv... but yeah, 14 is too young, brains havent even started working right yet.
and to think, over here some kids were having kids coz the goverment gives grants. children haveing children. pathetic!
