Well you are using the words in a book to prove the book. I guess the same argument could be used to show the Force from star wars is true, after all it says so in the movie.

I'm not sure how it is an interpretation ... but the Word and Jesus are often interchanged - the Word was God - the Word was with God - Jesus as the Word was part of Creation - God Spoke and things came into being - so when God speaks is that Jesus? To try to wrap our limited human minds around it we have all kinds of inadequate illustrations of the Trinity - 3 but one - like an egg ... except you can separate egg white, yoke, and shell so it breaks down as an illustration - ice - water and vapor - except they can't all exist at the same time and temperature so that illustration doesn't work - there are more inadequate ways to attempt to "get it" but it comes down to faith ... somehow it all connects but we'll never comprehend it fully.

Excuse me if I misunderstood your question, but I feel the need to object. If we take your interpretation as valid, there is the danger of depersonalising the WORD which is JESUS Christ. All through the scriptures, the Holly Spirit focuses on the PERSON of Jesus Christ (who, I agree with you, is the Word of God). The amazing miracle (and/or scandal for non-belivers), the soul-saving and life-changing fact of true Christianity is that the Word became FLESH and walked as a human person on this earth. The object of Christian faith is the PERSON of Jesus Christ as an inseparable entity of Godhead.
Again, I apologise to everyone if I misunderstood your question. This is a sensitive subjest and my inadequate skills in english language may have very well failed me. God bless!

Yes, your interpretation is correct.
John 6:44 - "No man can come to me,unless the Father who sent me draws him and I will resurrect him in the last day."
Jesus is called "The Word" because he is Jehovah's spokesman.Jesus is the Way,the truth and the life, because by following his steps closely,we can come to an accurate knowledge of God's Word, and enjoy the wonderful prospect of everlasting life

The rest of that verse is - No-one comes to the father except through Me.
Jesus is the WAY (through salvation.) to the TRUTH (which is the word of God, the Bible) to live eternal LIFE with God in Heaven.

Well the Way meant he is salvation, the Truth meant that he is the one who knows the true reality of man and man's relationship with God and the Life meant that eternal life is through him, but that is a cool interpretation though, i do like it, i just disagree a bit, thanks,
Matt

In the beginning the Word that was God was "Law". In the end the Word that is God is "Grace". Jesus said God said: "he that shall endure unto the end shall be saved" (or delivered, from Law, sin & death thereof a ministration of condemnation & death). And "the end" we're to endure unto, to be saved(only), by grace(only), says: The "GRACE" of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen. And the "you all" thereof begins with "you".
Jesus said that God(I am) said: "I am"(Grace is) the truth, the way, the life, the Light of the world, the Bread of Life, the door, the Good(God) Shepherd, the Resurrection(unto life), the True Vine. In comparison and contrast there is a False Vine: Law, which is the Darkness of the world, the Bread of Death, a trap door to avoid, an Evil Shepherd not to follow, etc.
It's "allegory" in both "covenants": Gal 4, and "mystery" (noted over 20 times) to solve. And "escape" is notably via "give more earnest heed" to what's been said, comparing spiritual things with spiritual, such as comparing law with grace.
Law: is "spiritual", but often spiritual abuse.
Grace: also spiritual, but it's never abusive.
Believe not every spirit, try(test) the spirits;
for one of the twain spirits is an "antichrist",
which is to say anti-"the end of the law".
Dare to compare "Jesus" to "Christ":
Jesus: born under the law, and of woman
(ye are not under the law, but under grace)
Christ: the end of the law, and of transgression
(where no law, there is no transgression)
Jesus: "division" and not peace (Mt 10:34: Lk 12:51)
(mark and avoid them which cause "division": Rom 16:17)
Christ: "peace" and not division (Jn 14:27; Eph 2: 14)
(he is our "peace", who hath abolished the law)
Peace with God is notably "THROUGH Jesus->Christ".
The "grace" of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

Muslims agree. no one come to God except going through Jesus first.
Jewish cannot come to God without going through Moses first.
and Muslims cannot become compelete believer without accepting Muhammad, Jesus, Moses, Abraham... and all the prophet sent from God.

I believe Jesus - who was a rabbi and a wise man - was smarter than to have said, 'Look, all that's really important is that you just believe in me, that I died and all that, and you'll get to heaven.'
"I am the way" and "you get there by me" meant something beyond telling you to call yourself a Christian and rejoice over his martyrdom.
It meant, 'Hey, I'm telling you what you need to do to be a good person and please God - be forgiving, help the poor, visit the sick and the imprisoned, don't judge, love your neighbor - that is my way, that is the only way you'll gain wisdom and goodness.'

I think you're spot spot on....all that's needed here is the proper identification of the WORD in this world. And the answer is not Jesus.
