What is the big deal? I am not muslim, do not plan to be, but when I tell muslims that I dreamed of Mohammed their eyes pop out of their head. Why? Moses was in the dream also, but they never ask about Moses.

lasermouse, that has to be the most ignorant response I have ever heard. It was not just the fact that hundreds of people were waving their arms towards him and yelling his name... it is also the fact that when you dream something, you know what things and people are without explanation. and for 830a, no I am not a Jew.

I don't mind people making a joke here and there, everyone needs a laugh... but the ones of you who feel the need to attack me personally, go play with someone else. I was trying to post a question that I sincerely want an answer to. As for the ones of you who want to know the dream, message me and I will tell you in email. Only if you are serious, please.

And I'm sure you've had dreams about being cold, hot, stuck in a mire, flying, falling, crying, laughing, friends, foes, and folks you never met in real life. Why would this one be more significant than those? You might want to think of dreams as the brain trying out all its circuits and not messages from the beyond.

As we all know sometimes dreams come because when we sleep our subconscious mind is thinking about the stuff we were thinking about earlier in the day...I am a muslim and my eyes are not popping out from my head right now... maybe you were thinking about the profits Moses and Mohammed (peace be upon them) and thats why you dreamt about them...let me tell you something , for muslims we have interpretations for dreams espically ones that are linked with profits because they can't just come like that there must be a reason , maybe u are blessed but u don't know...Many muslims wish to dream of the profit but they never do it only happens to extremely spiritual(not extrimists) ones and to know that you dreamt about him is something extrodinary and I believe it has a meaning except that we can't just interpret it like that we have to know the details of the dream..all i want to say is the only reason that 'the eyes might pop out of the head' is because to dream of the profits in Islam wether it was Mohammed,Moses,Ibraham,Noah or any of the other profit means alot , and i mean MEANS ALOT, and must have an interpretation cause as i said not everyone can get these dreams and maybe you are special and dont really know it, you just have to look inside and search why, there are many stories of people who were not linked to islam in any how but were blessed in a way that led them to it ...I would really be intrested in knowing the details of the dream, if you don't mind? Thank you.

I am a Muslim, and for your information, nobody in the modern world knows how Muhammad looks like because Muslims are forbidden to draw pictures of him. If I were your friends, I would be pretty much curious too. Eventhough we do not have any records on how he looked like, there are few referrences/quotations regarding his short beard, his silky black hair, his well kept hygenes, etc. I suggest you look for it so that you won't be popping eyes of Muslims again, haha. Anyway, Muhammad was the last prophet and we are his ummah (the people who lives in a certain prophet's era). Muhammad's ummah is special in the sense that since nobody precedes him, people who are living after his death is still considered as his ummah eventhough it is no more his era / the era he is living in. Ask any Muslim/Muslimah that you encounter, "Whose ummah are you?" All of them will proudly say "Muhammad's". It's sorta like, when people ask Americans "Whose the leader of your country now?" for sure the youngsters would say "George W Bush" but of course they are not as thrilled when you ask them "Who was the leader of your country in 1888?" Well, it's roughly like that, I guess. I hope I answered your question.

Dreams are interesting to all sorts of people from many different cultures... they are an amazing phenomenon. As Muhammed is the focal prophet of Islam, it ought not be much surprise that your Muslim friends were curious.
What is surprising is that you don't offer any details about the dream! It's insignificant to Y! readers that your friends were curious. But some of us would be interested to know more about the dream, as evidenced in some of the answers you've received. :)

How do you know it was Muhammad? And besides having dreams of any prophet Moses or Muhammad is a big deal. As in Islam they are both prophets.

I think the big deal is that, they are waiting for the punchline much like i am. Like he was wearing a pair of boxer shorts and smoking a Marlboro. And moses was selling ice cream from a cart outside of Macy's.

If I were you I would forget about Mohammed. There is only one way to God and that is through Jesus Christ who said "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father but by Me JOHN 14:6

Was it a kinky dream? Did he look like Fabio in a turban? Did you ride off into the sunset on a camel?
I like the guy above me's answer: "Don't tell me you aren't going to convert you damn stubborn Jew!"

Muhammad and Moses are two prophets from God.
please take my advice seriously. i recommend you to convert to Islam. if you dreamed of Muhammad, then it's a sign that you will die as a true believer. because whoever saw Muhammad in dream has seen him in real. as Muhammad explained that no devil can pretend to be his figure.
convert to Islam, that's very important. if you reject the sign of God, then i am afraid that your punishment will be doubled in the day of judgement. because you knew something that other don't. don't die unless u r muslim.
thanks.
