well if you really want to:
get a cardboard board, a sharpie, and another small peice of cardboard.

on the cardboard board you write yes in the top left corner and no in the top right corner. then in the middle of the top you write 'hello'. then you wirte the whole alphabet out in the middle[under hello and stuff]. then after the alphabet you write 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0. then at the middle of the bottom you write goodbye

the small peice of cardoard is for the pointer, which you cut of to make a triangle shape, you cut a whole in the middle and at the top of the cardboard write Ouija.

it should work, and before your contacting anyone i HIGHLY suggest saying some sort of prayer if you are religious.

MAKING YOUR OWN OUIJA BOARD

Boards can be made out of anything.
Most boards will work - even homemade ones.
Many readers have written telling me about the creative ways they have made their own boards.
The ouija board can be used with an indicator made of plastic - wood - or a clear drinking glass.
If you are making a board from a drawing - or design you have created - please try to remember to include:

- The Alphabet
- Words that seem relevant
- Numbers - good for dates, ages, other numerical facts.
- Astrological Signs

Cover the board with clear heavy sheet of plastic or place it under a glass surface. It must have a smooth - almost slippery top.
The indicator may be purchased from Parker Brothers - or you can buy a ouija board game in a toy store and use the indicator from that game with the board you created.
Create you image and letters in black and white or in color.
Use any type of paper - or place your design directly onto a hard surface board.
If your image is made of paper place the paper on a masonite board - piece of wood - or even a table top.
Be sure to leave lots of room around the edges of the board you have designed - so the indicator has room to move around without falling off the side of the board.
Cover the design with clear plastic or some sort of clear coating. Be sure it is the exact same size as the board. Secure the plastic covering - around the edges with clear tape - (clear wide width tape).
The top of the board should be slippery.
Place your planchette - indicator on the board.
"Warm it up' by making several slow sweeping circles over the board. You can place positive energy - white light - over the board as you initiate it!!

You are now ready to begin.

But, if you don't want to make one, you can buy them from a Toy's R Us near you or online at amazon.com.

Beware: the ouija board really does work! but you must believe, and be patient.

I don't know about making one but I do think that it's supposed to be "a Ouija" board opposed to "an Ouija". Because you only put the "n" if the next word's first sound is a vowel and the actual letter doesn't matter. Is this correct?

Did I just start another question within a question?

The Ouija Board is just a game. So have fun with it and don't take it too seriously.

Here is a very interesting article about Ouija boards from "The Straight Dope" : http://www.straightdope.com/mailbag/mouija.html

So once you get all the superstition and fear aside, you can buy one or make one. Scroll down this page for ideas on making your own: http://www.crystalinks.com/ouija.html

Have fun!

Don't be stupid.

Nothing good ever comes from a ouija board. Ever.

If you search this site you will find other resolved answers on this topic, in particular, the dangers of experimenting with ouija boards.

I sure hope you realise how dangerous they are before it's too late.

From my own experience and I am 74 and tried a lot in life but stay away from a ouija board. Do not try to find one and do not try to make one. I'm not kidding.

It's easier to find a place to buy one than it is to make one.
The store bought boards work as good as one that you make.
You have to really believe in it enough to IGNORE the FACT that someone is pushing the pointer.
If you don't understand what that means I'll make it clearer.
You have to be ignorant to believe in it.
If you have any symptoms of mental illness it could be dangerous. It could cause a mental breakdown if you "contact evil spirits" Much the same way that the bible sets off some folks.

you don't need an ouija board. just meditate and find a peacefull way to listen to what your heart is telling you (takes some practise but it is much safer to do because the chance of some 'bad' spirits taking over is a lot less)

it is not the board that is successful or not, it is you and your friends. it does not matter what kind you make or buy. you can get them at kmart or walmart or anywhere! The first time one worked for me, I put myself in a "right-before-sleep" sort of a state, and then it started working. I had been trying for about 3 months. be patient! It will work in time, but do not assume if it doesn't work immediately then it wont work at all.

I would strongly advise you to reconsider.

You are meddling with things of whch you have no control.

Let me be brutally honest- what kind of people love trawling through the teenage and kids sites that promote smutty talk? Yes, you guessed it! pedophiles.. To them, such places are like honey to bears.

Now, think about dead murderers, rapists, pedophiles and just bad spirits- what would be the same equivalent? Yep, you guessed it, those weekend ouija board parties of young spiritual but impresionable kids.

You have been warned. It is your life.
