I dont like it on the red sweet part but I do like putting it on when I get closer to the rind.

Absolutely, and lots of it! It's the only way to eat fresh watermelon. The salt makes the sweet juices that much sweeter, IMO.

I have always put salt on my watermelon, my husband thinks it's gross and he puts sugar on his, which I can not even fathom doing.

Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't. Just depends on what kind of mood I am in. *now i'm gonna have to eat some. I love watermelon!!!

Yes, because it brings out the sweetness. Same goes for fresh grapefruit.
