Evaporated milk is when they take out half of the water in whole milk and can it to make it shelf-stable. It is an inexpensive alternative to buying regular milk, and lasts much, much longer.

Most of the water is removed from the milk and placed in cans. Thus consentraited.
Next time your in a store, pick up a can and read the instructions on how it is used.

they takr out the water so you dont have to keep it cold until you open it.And when you open it just add water and then you have milk to cook with.but dont drink it like regular milk.
