Your best bet is to go to your local library and look at the car issues of Consumer Reports Magazine. They have a website also, but there is a charge to use it. The magazines at the library are free. CR has new, and used, car buying guides and rates each vehicle for safety, value, re-saleability (is that a word?), and many other things. Their research is all done in-house and they don't sell any advertising so they have no agenda. Just good, honest results. I always check there before I buy anything major.
