i think windows media player plays now that kind of files

There are alot of widely used programs for this:
1) Windows Media Player
2) RealPlayer
3) DivX Player
If the application doesnt output the sound/video correctly, you may need to download some codecs for it. These are filters which influence the way a video looks (interpreted).

DivX Player! It's Free from DivX.com. There are alos codecs that you can get from that site that allow you to play AVIs on Media Player.

I have DIVX player but Windows Media Player works for me and is better.
