I'd say god is the creation of humans. There were (and still are some) things that people couldn't explain, so they made up a possible explanation... a god that is responsible for all the things we don't understand.

Ah, the old "Does God exist" question put in a different form. You need to trot out the Invisible Pink Unicorn and the Flying Spaghetti Monster while you are at it.

I believe God exists, and therefore humans are a creation of God. I also believe every religion we have falls flat on its face once they get one sentence beyond that.

But, to each their own beliefs.

The answer to this is .... both.

Humans came into existence through the driving creative force that defined the structure of all things in the universe (whether you see it as conscious design or a non-conscious mathematical definition of reality is beside the point).

In order to make sense of that creative driving force in terms human minds could understand, humans invented religion and a variety of ways of defining and anthropomorphizing that force.

As to whether or not the driving creative force is conscious or not... you must base that decision on personal observation and faith. However, be aware that the "sins" and consequences for those "sins" are defined pretty much universally across religion. Most of the time, you can see how these consequences are based on observed events. There is a clear guiding aspect to moral vs. immoral behavior, as immutable as the laws of physics.

If we are God then we must've created the Earth (if you believe in Creationism) because God created Heaven. If we are God then we are all going to Heaven because we are all supposedly perfect. In order to be God we must be perfect but we are not obviously, if we're honest. But God created us. If you would like to find out how to go to Heaven and meet God face-to-face, this site is very helpful

This isn't another religion-bash question, is it? I certainly hope not, after you just admitted to worshipping God and all. Anyway, don't you have anything better to do than repost the same questions over and over again? God created Man. Believe it or not, doesn't really matter to me.

We are creations of God! The Scripture teaches in Genesis that God made man in His graven image.

Hmmm good question.

To someone who truly believes it doesn't really matter, but you gotta think, with out the belief in some higher power whether you are, Catholic, Buddhist, Wicca, Druid and so on. Wouldn't you feel kind of lonely, knowing that this is all there is????

We need to believe in things, if it's just our self or a high power, it's still all human nature.

Great question, makes ya think.

And the fact that there are so many opinions of who and what God is proves that now We create God in our own eyes.
