It should be used again but if this is your second marriage you should try to change something on it so that it isn't 100% the same. Something like making the sleeves short or long or something like that. Make it a little unique.

I think that with the cost of weddings today, as well as the price of wedding gowns, there is no problem with reusing them. It can also hold emotional significance to a mother who is giving it to a daughter to use or even from other generations. It shows your love and respect of the person. I probably would not want it used if it was used and the couple got divorced. I may not believe in omens or bad luck per se, but it has a bad history and may be the prelude to a difficult marriage. You could also knock off the borrowed item from the borrowed, blue, old, new rhyme. Hope it all works out for you and that you have a great wedding and life together! Blessings.

No it's not wrong. Each wedding dress has meaning to each bride that wears it. Imagine the memories and love associated with just one dress. I think a dress should be reused. (Hopefully not by the same woman, but you take what life gives you.) Just be sure that each bride (if you aren't consigning it) has something unique to associate to "her" dress. Wear gloves, or a different style veil, or tie a ribbon round the waist in the colors of the wedding. Something to make the dress her own while not changing what was once someone else's.

Well, I am a wedding planner and I have met a few couples who would have liked to re use there dress but didnt because there spouse was not happy with the idea. I would say that if he is ok with it then go for it :)

no way, it's lovely if you have a family dress that you want to re-use, for example I fit into my mother's dress and would use that if I ever got married. If you are on a tight budget and cannot afford a new dress then it is a sensible way of getting the dress of your dreams for less money. I think it is a great idea

I think it depends. I think it could be loaned to a friend or re-sold. However, I would think it was wrong to re-use the dress in a second marriage. I've actually seen that happen, they added some different sequins and beads, and strangely the marriage didnt last either.

My sister used our great grandmothers wedding dress to marry her husband as did my gandmother and mother on their wedding days. So yeah I think it is a good idea to re-use them and sort of cool if you think about it. and that something old thing is covered.

well if its yours from a first marriage then i wouldn't unless you have it altered in some way to represent a new begining. if its a dress from someone else, friends, mom grandma then its not bad at all its like a symble of honor then.
