I will offer a suggestion. If the photos are digital and are of a defined local area I would try selecting 12-13 images and have a calendar printed. Just a sample piece. I think Kodak Easy Share site does this or made ShutterFly. I would then shop it around to local bookstores, coffee shops or small boutique shops to see if they would be interested in displaying it for sale. If they could give you an amount you could have a short production run. (Four color printing is not cheap!) However, they run specials at Kodak all the time and you have be able to get 50 printed for a good price. I would only try this with digital. If the photos are in slide or negative form the color separations are too expensive to give it a try. You could look at the stock agencies but be aware that they take a healthy cut of the sale and if they charge storage fees or want you to pay to have an image published in a catalog you could be out money. You might also check the local Chamber of Commerce or business group in your area. They might have projects that need art. Also so interior designers like to use images in their designs, make contacts in that area.
Good Luke....Scotland is a beautiful country.

A suggestion I didn't see above.

Invest some money into getting them printed at a large size, (not all of them, just your favorite ones) say a 16x20 or even 20x30 and try to sell them at local art galleries, exhibits, craft shows, etc. Every year, we have a couple local events that I'll get involved with to sell just scenic photos and people do buy some. Don't overcharge. I'll sell a 20x30 for $35 , a 16x20 for $20, and an 8x10 for $6 and I'll sell most of my photos. It's a quick way to make money and to get your name out to people on a personal level.

There is a book called "Photographers Market" that you can buy at Barnes and Noble or Amazon. It runs $20.00 and is full of companies that will purchase images, how to submit them, what they are looking for, and how much you can expect to be paid.

I don't like going through stock photo companies, you get next to nothing for the shots while someone else makes huge money. The only way to make good money with stock photo agencies is to have hundreds of top-quality images with them and to keep submitting.

Try to see if you can sell them to local stores like coffee shops and the like.

Also, cafepress.com will sell them for you and you set the price.

Do a scrapbook with all the photos with the same theme. Or made a website, post them there, if people like them they will click on them, download them and you get paid for it. Simple!
