It's a shame that the soldiers died the way they did. I feel for the families that have to go on without their loved ones. I can only hope for a quick and safe return of all the soldiers. Hopefully, the Iraqis will put aside their differences and rebuild their lifes. One can only hope!!

I agree except for the part about how it's a shame that the soldiers died the way they did. I'm sure ya meant it's tragic for them to die over there. But it's always tragic for a soldier to die. The shame would come in if they were shot during a disgraceful act, etc.
Semantics, perhaps. But it's such a faux paus that twisted "peacenicks" used to make a soldier out to be a monster, rather than a victim of our government's foreign policy.

Well, I'm morre confident in our mission than that. Certainly I feel for the families, and hope for a quick & safe return for all troops, when they've accomplished the mission for which their commrades have died. I do hope Iraqis will settle their differences & emerge from the fire as a young but strengthening democracy with a future full as much challenge as opportunity, & the long-term friendship of the US to see them thru any future trouble.
